As planned by the government, from September 1, it will be possible to use the eHealth electronic system to receive money. The doctor records the conclusion about the incapacity for work in the Register of Medical Reports, and the applicant for the payment simply reports the number of the entry to the social service. True, the changes should not affect all women, but only those who do not have compulsory social insurance at the time of pregnancy. The idea of the Cabinet of Ministers is still in the draft stage, but it can be adopted in the very near future. The innovation in the design of payments will affect women who at the time of pregnancy were not insured in the system of compulsory state social insurance. Simply put, these are those who do not pay a single social contribution to the state budget. And these are not only the unemployed, many other categories of citizens fall into the list:
- women who are registered at the employment center as unemployed
- individual entrepreneurs (IE) who do not participate in the compulsory social insurance system
- women who were dismissed in connection with the liquidation of an enterprise less than six months before the due date for the payment of maternity
- students of professional educational institutions and universities
- postgraduate students, doctoral students, residents

- law enforcement officers

All of the above categories of women will no longer need a "paper" sick leave to calculate maternity and childbirth assistance. Suitable "electronic sick leave", the introduction of which in Ukraine began on June 1. Let us recall that from today on, e-sick leave is mandatory by law, and is of greater importance for the Social Insurance Fund than paper with three wet stamps on a special letterhead.
The algorithm of actions is as follows: a woman comes to the family doctor, who states temporary disability due to pregnancy and childbirth. The conclusion about this is entered into the Register of medical reports in the eHealth electronic health care system. These data are automatically pulled into the application "Diya" (section "Certificate of incapacity for work). To gain access to them and form a provision on accrual of maternity payments, It is enough for the Social Insurance Fund to know the number of the record of the conclusion made by the doctor in the eHealth system.
Therefore, pregnant women today should register in the Diya application, sign a declaration with a family doctor and connect to the eHealth system. These simple steps will help you arrange maternity payments for a child, as they say, in two clicks. By the way, the number of the medical certificate in eHealth will be needed even if you have already received maternity benefits, but you want to receive the additional charge that a woman is entitled to in case difficult childbirth.
