Draw a lamb in a bottle or ask your child to do it. This drawing will tell you how good a person is in the family. Does he want to stay here or, on the contrary, he wants to leave her

As you know, someone else's soul is darkness. Psychologists have tons of tools to help shed light on it. One of them is the projective method “Lamb in a Bottle”. Its essence is simple - you need, without hesitation, draw a lamb in a bottle.
“He is the projection of the painter. The bottle is a symbol of the place where the person being tested is. It can be anything: family, work, relationships. Together, the picture shows the psychological aspiration of a person - to be attached to something or someone else to strive for separation ",
- tells Tatiana Repnova, psychologist, art therapist, head of the Association of Practicing Psychologists of the Odessa region.

Thus, with the help of this drawing, you can test, for example, how a person feels in a family or work team.

Tatiana is the author of this test. True, she says that she did not claim copyright. “As for projective methods, as my 25-year experience of working as a psychologist shows, there is always a person who has used this idea before,” the expert explains. To the question "why exactly a lamb?" replies that he inspired Exupery: meeting the Pilot for the first time, the Little Prince asks him to draw a lamb.

“In fact, anyone can be instead of him: a bunny, a cat, a bird. When a person draws anything, he draws himself ",
- says Tatiana Repnova.

A key role in the test is also played by the questions that the test taker is asked and his answers:

  •  How did the lamb end up in the bottle?
  • What is he doing there?
  • How does he feel?
  • Does he want to get out of the bottle?
  • Why?
  • If so, how?
  • What does the lamb dream about?
  • What worries him about the lamb?

Psychologist and doula, accompanying childbirth, Tamara Zeynalli in his practice, he successfully uses this technique to diagnose child-parent relationships, the relationship of a pregnant woman and her husband to the upcoming birth and how the person felt during intrauterine period. And the cited cases from her life prove that "Lamb" is not at all simple.

A case from the life of "Three in the Bank"

When Tamara Zeynalli worked as a child psychologist at school, a 6-7 year old boy came to her for consultation. He was hyperactive, trying to do everything in spite of everything. She asked him to draw a lamb in a bottle. And here he depicts a tin can, and in it - three herrings. To the question "why fish?" he answered with the question "why a lamb?"

Tamara asks further: "How did they end up in this bank?" He says: “There were many people, they sailed on a ship and caught fish with nets. And so they caught three herrings and put them in a jar. " To the question "how do the fish feel?" the boy replied, “Two are dead, and a third is bad there. We need people to come, open the jar and save it. "

When Tamara later talked about this drawing with the boy's mother, she burst into tears and said that thanks to IVF she became pregnant with triplets, but in the seventh month, two babies froze. And this boy is the only survivor of the three. And no one ever told him about this, although it is always important for children to know the complete family picture.

“This is how we identified the cause of the child's hyperactive behavior. It was a reaction to over-parenting. The mother, who lost two children during pregnancy, was very worried about her remaining son, she controlled him in everything. I asked her to give him more air. And it helped: after a while, the hyperactivity decreased ",
- says Tamara Zeynalli.

Test in anticipation of a miracle

When pregnant women draw lambs, it is immediately clear from the drawing what kind of childbirth they are ready for, says Tamara Zeynalli. For example, a woman depicts a bottle, the neck of which is closed with a cork. "I ask:" How will the lamb come out of the bottle? " She replies: "People will come, smash her and get the lamb." Here it is already clear that there is a mood for a cesarean section, and during the conversation it may be revealed that the woman is pathologically afraid of childbirth. The next step is to work with this fear, ”the doula gives an example.

The test, in her opinion, is also suitable for future dads who are going to take part in partner childbirth. “If it can be seen from the picture that a man is only inclined towards medical intervention, then a woman needs to seriously weigh the pros and cons of giving birth to him. After all, when she needs words of support, “I believe in you, you can handle it,” she can hear “Let's go to the cesarean,” says Tamara Zeynalli.

What your "Lamb in a Bottle" will tell you about

As we have already said, the questions and answers of the test taker play an important role in the "Lamb in a Bottle" method. For example, a tiny ram is drawn. But one person will explain that he is so small because he is very bad. And the other will say that the lamb feels great when it has a lot of space. Nevertheless, there are some general characteristics. Let's show them on the example of diagnostics of parent-child relationships.

Lamb

If depicted in a negative way, this indicates a rejection of the test taker. The more positively, interestingly the lamb is drawn (for example, smiles), the better the author of the drawing feels in the family.

Who used to paint is very comfortable in his family

Horns and hooves can be a sign of aggressiveness and a decisive attitude. Perhaps in relation to separation from the family.

Its location

The closer he is to the neck, the greater the desire to separate from the family. If he stands firmly on his feet at the bottom of the bottle, the author of the drawing is in a family in which he experiences stability, stability. In combination with an open, large, lamb-sized neck, this suggests that the test taker is very good in the family. He does not feel pressure and realizes that at any moment he can separate.

To draw closely in his family

If the muzzle is directed to the bottom, then this indicates the reluctance of the tested person to leave the parental family, about the fear of independence.

The size

If the lamb is very large, this may indicate an overestimated self-esteem, about overprotection, which crushes it.

Bottle

The form

Smooth lines, sloping sides - female energy dominates in the family, codependent relationships with mother.

A square, rectangular bottle - there is a strong desire to please the father, to earn his love. Possibly lack of paternal presence.

A square bottle speaks of problems with his father.

Neck

If it is closed with a cork, the author of the drawing feels hyper control from the parents, all decisions are made for him. He wants to separate from his family, but finds it difficult to do so.

Nailed, cracked

This indicates the presence of psychological trauma.
