The first camp of humane pedagogy in Ukraine "ZORELOVI" met its guests: how it was

About 150 people - parents and children - became guests of the first camp. According to many of them, this camp was the breakthrough of the year in the field of family development.

Authors and founders of the project - Svetlana and Nikolay Zaluzhny - shared their impressions:

“We managed to have 2 super deep shifts, where parents and children really met, where every adult could find healing for himself in parenting. As parents, we have a lot of guilt, so it is useful for all of us to find the joy of being parents to discover deep meanings in ourselves as individuals, as parents. We managed to gather a very motivated community of families, where people met like-minded people, agents of change. It is very valuable for us that we had the opportunity to give guests a sense of Ukrainian identity through music, poetry, dances, and acquaintance with ethnography. We gave guests the opportunity to touch the ethnic culture, which is difficult to do in an urbanized space. In addition, we gave people the experience of a new rest, an example of the possibility of combining rest and development, and showed that it is possible. The biggest bonus is that teenagers, young people 12-17 years old, left the camp with a desire return, and their parents thanked our mentors for showing the teenagers in the camp new landmarks ".

What is the uniqueness of the project

The uniqueness of the Zorelovi camp is expressed in an unusual program that combines:

• lectures for parents,
• occupational therapy for the family,
• entertainment,
• leisure,
• separate children's and youth programs.

Each age of children has its own activities. In general, there were 4 directions. For adults - thematic circles: women, men, open family consultations.

President of the International Center for Humane Pedagogy, Doctor of Psychology, Paata Amonashvili (Georgia) gave lectures on the foundations of humane pedagogy, its basic principles, held sessions on practical issues.

Knight of humane pedagogy, author, presenter of seminars and trainings on pedagogy and psychology of relationships Marina Targakova (Kazakhstan) read lectures and held women's circles on philosophical topics - about the meaning of life, the formula of family happiness, female destiny. A wise lecturer, Marina asked the audience a question: "What is unconditional love?" The answer is love, which does not require conditions in order to take place. We need so many conditions to love! This statement became the leitmotif of all Marina Zamsharifovna's speeches and was especially remembered by the audience.

Ekaterina Yasko, an emotional intelligence coach, and Vytautas Bučunas, a coach, founder of the U-Integral leadership maturity space, held lectures and discussions on the emotional component in family relations, gave practical tools to improve the quality of communication in the family, held open family consultations.

Teacher of humane pedagogy and co-founder of ZORELOVI Svetlana Zaluzhnaya She introduced the guests to the deep and sensitive practice that Shalva Amonashvili recommends to do from time to time to all parents to strengthen communication with their children, the practice of letters. This is writing an ordinary paper sheet by hand, where you can open your heart, say that you do not dare said, looking into your eyes. In the ZORELOVI camp, both children and parents write such a letter in parallel, and then simultaneously exchange and read them. Their faces at this moment are special. These are not just lines and words, this is a confession written by a sincere heart, which is able to heal. (We recommend reading the book by Sh. Psychologist in the field of family and child-parent relations Alexey Babayants conducted the practice of "talking to dad", which caused very deep feelings in the audience of the parents. After all, all adults were once children too. In Alexei's lectures, the role of father, mother, and the need for a special approach for the upbringing of boys and girls are of particular importance. In addition to lectures, Alexey, as a mentor, took part in the youth and program, where teenagers 12-17 years old gathered. During the discussions, the topics of the meaning of life, purpose, personal space, freedom of action were raised. This sparked a lively discussion between the mentor and the teenagers, arguments were made in defense of different points of view, but this is what is important for adolescence - the development of one's own opinion, thinking, doubts, viewing internal installations.

In addition, the youth of the ZORELOVI camp developed their own project, presenting it right in the camp - an evening-acquaintance with Anime, followed by watching a film. The teenagers prepared a business project - the cost of entrance tickets, food, advertising, lecture, rehearsals, film selection. It took only 3 days from development to implementation of the project, but the efforts were worthy - a full hall of spectators, interest in the topic. It was a great example of free thinking and going beyond.

Parents go to school and children earn

The children's program was implemented thanks to the efforts of 10 mentors, teachers of humane pedagogy and humane educators. They use methodological approaches of humane pedagogy and their own developments. A psychological club, a media school, an art workshop, an eco-cafe, a survival school, a help desk and other services offered the camp to its young guests. In addition, ZORELOVi call themselves a city where parents go to school and children work, earning Gifts. The city is governed by the Mayor, who distributes professions and gives out earned Gifts. According to Paata Amonashvili, such transformations are possible only when mentors in the camp, parents and organizers themselves treat them truly, as in reality.

At the final children's concert, the head of the camp's children's program, KSENIYA BORTSYUKH, a teacher of humane pedagogy, presented the work of the teachers:

These lines contain deep wisdom not only of humane pedagogy, but also of the knowledge of the classics of pedagogical science - Sukhomlinsky, Pestalozzi, Roerichs, Russo, Makarenko. Here again I recall the words of Marina Targakova that over the past many thousands of years the rules of life (behavior, upbringing, relationships) on earth have not changed at all, just mankind continues them study.

Humane pedagogy - based on the classics of pedagogy of the last 500 years: Pestalozzi, Russo, Roerichs, Tolstoy, Makarenko, Sukhomlinsky, the teaching of Living Ethics. The theory is based on:

• knowledge and acceptance of the nature of the child,
• perception of a person's humane and personal state,
• constant self-improvement of an adult,
• understanding the role of an adult in raising children,
• education by example.

It takes into account the fact that every child (person) is a phenomenon in our earthly life. Each child is the bearer of his destiny on Earth, his mission, and each child contains the unlimited energy of his spirit. Along with the spiritual nature, the soul, the child is the bearer of his earthly nature. In it, nature manifests itself in 3 main forces, the laws of motion of which form the scientific basis of the educational process: strength, passion, a child for development; a child's passion for growing up and a child's passion for freedom.

Summarizing these postulates, humane pedagogy concludes that a child, that is, a person, is a single whole with his spiritual and earthly nature, in which the spiritual principle leads the earthly. Such pedagogy leads the student (seeker of the Light) along the path of development and improvement of his spiritual world, along the path of realizing one's destiny and understanding the severity of duty, along the path of multiplying kindness and love by Earth.

A personality is one who seeks in himself the meaning of his exalted soul and serves it faithfully. Thus, the image of a Noble Man is set as the goal of the humanely personal educational process.

In the understanding of humane pedagogy, education is the disclosure, identification, and affirmation of the inner image of a person. The inner image is revealed and affirmed through the streams of outer images. That is why the qualities of the streams of external images decide the fate of the quality of the disclosure of the internal image, the spiritual and moral formation of a person. Along with the development of the theory of humane pedagogy, its founders pay a lot of attention to practical applying this knowledge, they actively and a lot around the world work with teachers and, of course, with parents. In this sense, the humane pedagogy camp is an excellent workshop for teaching and learning the tools of the method.
