Did you know that the wrong color, located in the portrait area, can accentuate all skin imperfections and make wrinkles visually deeper? Let's take a clear look and take a detailed look at everything:
I want to draw your attention to the fact that I recorded this video in one take and the lighting did not change. Visually, it seems that the light is changing, in the comments under this video Natalia Gaskova very clearly explained this moment:
I'll make a reservation right away that this article will not be about color typing. I will not divide people into seasons, we are all so individual and different shades are mixed in our appearance that it is impossible to divide everyone into some groups.
I am not an ardent supporter of the theory of color types and do not think that you need to wear only certain shades, but from the rest run without looking back, I do not like any prohibitions at all, but I think that "your" successful colors should be know. They can work miracles and correctly highlight the dignity that nature has awarded us.
I'll show it on myself. How different shades affect my skin:
Red color goes to all women, it is only important to choose "your" red. This shade is clearly not mine, the skin became unhealthy-pale, as if I had dived into flour :)
The bright pink made the nasolabia more noticeable and emphasized the hollows under the eyes.
The camera distorts the color, it seems that it is a cold shade, in fact, warm. When I shot this video (I didn't take individual photos, I made screenshots from the screen) it was hot, but my face didn't really shine that much.
And now look at how a soft shade of cold pink visually smoothed the skin, it was like they walked over the face with powder, although I did not take cosmetics in my hands. On Instagram, many subscribers doubted this, and I published a rough version of the video in stories as evidence, without editing :) Just the right shade and no magic :)
The dark color outplayed me and the appearance became painful and tired.
The shades also affect the color of the eyes, making them lighter or deeper.
They turned a little green here.
And then the blue was added.
Cold tones prevail in my appearance, but at the same time hair with an active redhead, so it cannot be said that I am 100% cold or warm. And yet the appearance is soft and there is no strong contrast between hair color and skin color. We all know that with the help of makeup or hair dye, you can become much brighter and even change the color of your skin by applying a good dose of foundation with a warm undertone. Based on this, different shades may be suitable.
But in real life, I practically do not wear makeup, I do not like to go with a ton of makeup. I do make-up only for filming, but on ordinary days I manage with a light BB cream, I dye my eyelashes and dim lips, therefore, it is important for me that the wardrobe contains those colors that are in perfect harmony with me, with natural. So that the colors do not overplay me, so that there is no feeling that it is not me who is wearing the dress, but the dress that wears me :) So that the shade does not emphasize red spots, irregularities, creases and wrinkles.
My best friends are soft, muted cold shades.
But this does not mean that I only wear them when I want color, I just take out my cosmetic arsenal and add colors to my appearance. And I also use both cold and warm colors in my look, but when I am without makeup and not quite rested, I still try to have “my” shades on my face.
When shooting, I also put on color and do active makeup, because the camera “eats up” most of the colors and what seems very bright in reality will not be bright at all in a photo or video :)
How do you know which shades adorn you?
Gather all the colored things and fabrics in the house (you can use both children's clothes and husband's things), sit in front of the window, it is important that there was good lighting, put a large mirror and apply different shades to your face and watch how they affect the skin and appearance. Or you can, as I record the whole process on video and then analyze it. I am sure that interesting discoveries await you :)
I know that many colleagues read me. Girls, I want to share with you a link to an excellent online store for stylists StyleProfi, there are many cool tools for work, I ordered my scarves for color typing there. They also have online courses, I am constantly learning and I believe that new knowledge and inspiration in our profession is necessary. I'm going there now color course,I like the presentation of the material, without unnecessary water, everything is clear and very exciting.
Once again I was convinced: I know that I know nothing:)
Fuh, the article turned out to be voluminous, thanks to those who mastered it to the end. Please share your opinion, were you interested in making more of such material?
