The cleanest swimming areas outside the capital. TOP-8 comfortable and wild beaches near Kiev, which can be reached by public transport
Summer hit Kiev suddenly, and for a week the capital has been sweltering with heat. In such weather, you only think about where you could swim. On weekdays, you can open the swimming season at municipal metropolitan beaches. All of them are in good transport accessibility and are ready to receive vacationers. However, on weekends, the beaches in the city are sold out. Therefore, it is better to spend a little time and go out of town. We have found 8 beaches near the capital, where clear water, clean sand and shady greens await you.
Lake Gorashchikha in Pushcha-Voditsa

How to get there: from metro Kontraktova ploshcha by tram No. 12 to the stop "Line 7"
Strictly speaking, the beach in Pushcha-Voditsa belongs to Kiev and is considered municipal. This year, by the beginning of the swimming season, it was removed, cleaned, ennobled and submitted for the international Blue Flag mark. Swimming here is a pleasure. This is one of the few beaches in the capital, which is at the same time in good transport accessibility and far from urban developments. There is a lot of greenery around the lake, and there is where to hide from the heat. The entrance to the beach is free, the territory is clean and well-groomed. There is all the infrastructure for a comfortable stay (toilets, changing rooms, showers, gazebos, a boat and catamarans rental point). The main disadvantage is the popularity of the beach. During the high season and especially on weekends, there are simply a huge number of people here.
Lake "Ministerial"

How to get there: from m. Heroes of Dnepr by any minibus in the direction of Vyshgorod to the stop "Hospital"
Also, practically within the city limits, there is a beach on Lake Redkino, or, as it is popularly called, Lake Ministerial. This is a very popular place for recreation among the residents of Obolon: it takes 10 minutes by minibus to get to the beach. The lake is a fairly large artificial reservoir with several beaches scattered around the perimeter. The most equipped among them are located on the side of the highway: there is fairly clean sand, and during the season several tents with drinks and ice cream are exhibited. The bottom is gently sloping, the entry into the water is sandy, which is convenient for rest with children. Nominally, the Ministerial beaches are classified as wild, so there are no toilets, changing rooms and sun loungers with umbrellas. However, there is a lot of greenery, beautiful nature and clear water.
Osshchyna beaches

How to get there: from m. Heroes of Dnepr by minibuses No. 345, 347, 349 to the stop "Oseshina"
Further from Lake Redkino in the direction of Vyshgorod is the "beach" village of Oseshchina. It is located just 6 km from Kiev, right behind the Vyshgorod dam. The village is located on the shore of a large lake with iodized water, swimming in which is very good for your health. The beach here is not very large, but clean and well maintained. The sandy bottom and gentle entry into the water make the place ideal for families with children. If you drive around the area a little, you can find a few more places for swimming. Near Oseshchina, on the bank of the Dnieper Bay, the garden cooperative "Troyanda-2" is located. There are small beaches that are used only by summer residents. You can go there on foot through the dachas, leaving your car near the checkpoint.
Lake in Gorenka

How to get there: from metro Nyvky by minibus No. 719 to the stop "Polevaya"
The lake in the village of Gorenka is located on the site of an old quarry, in which white clay was once mined. The water here is clean and transparent, the bottom is clearly visible if you go into the water up to your waist. The territory is divided into two beaches: free and paid. The free beach is a large, tamped area with separate, not always convenient descents to the water. There are no toilets or changing rooms. There are not so many shady areas, so it is better to come to rest early in the morning to take a comfortable place. There are a lot of people on the free beach during the season. Paid beach "Lazurny" took the most convenient place near the lake with many trees. There is good infrastructure - toilets, changing rooms, showers, cafes, rental of umbrellas, sun loungers and water transport. The entrance to the beach last year cost 100 UAH per adult and 50 UAH per child. But this money is only for the entrance - everything else (even the rent of sun loungers) is paid separately.
Blue lake in Pidgortsy

How to get there: from metro Vydubychi by minibuses No. 798 and 309 to the stop "Podgortsy"
If you go from Kiev in the direction of Koncha-Zaspa, you can find a real blue lake. It is located near the village of Pidhirtsi and has long become one of the most popular holiday destinations for Kiev residents. There is incredibly clear water of a piercing light blue color (hence the name of the lake) and several beaches to choose from: two paid ("Empire" and "Lobster") and one free. Everywhere there is the same clean sand and comfortable, gentle entry into the water. The main difference between paid beaches is the infrastructure for recreation. Here you will be offered parking for cars, sun loungers and umbrellas for relaxation. There is a cafe and restaurant where you can have a bite to eat, and boat rental. But the price is rather big: this season the entrance to the Imperia beach costs 200/250 UAH (weekends / weekdays), and 400/500 UAH to the Lobster.
Lake in Khodosovka

How to get there: from metro Vydubychi by minibus No. 798 to the stop "Zona Otdykha"
A little further than the Blue Lake, on the other side of the Obukhovskaya highway, there is another great place to relax - a beach on the lake near the village of Khodosovka. The area is not very large, but quite well-groomed: clean sand, changing rooms, toilets and garbage cans. There are beach volleyball courts and many gazebos that are rented for the whole day. The lake in Khodosovka is considered a fish-breeding lake, so you can fish well here for a fee: local entrepreneurs rent boats and fishing tackle. There are not so many people on this lake, mostly locals rest. Access to the beach is paid, but the amount is symbolic (last year it was 20 UAH. per adult, children are free).
Lake in Bobritsa

How to get there: from metro Nyvky by minibus No. 749 or 824 to the stop "Bobritsa"
About 20 km west of Kiev, near the village of Bobrytsa, there is a fairly large and clean lake. There is a spacious sandy beach, many trees for relaxing in the shade. Entry to the territory is paid (last year it was 50-100 UAH. with a car, depending on the number of tourists), but you can leave the car in front of the barrier and walk a few hundred meters. There is a toilet, changing room, rubbish bins. You can rent a gazebo with barbecue for the whole day (400-800 UAH). The lake itself is shallow and warms up well in summer. Entry into the water is shallow, the bottom is sandy, without silt and algae. It is great to relax here with children, but only on weekends there are a lot of people. Therefore (if you do not plan to rent a gazebo) you need to arrive early in the morning.

How to get there: from metro Vydubychi by minibus No. 313 or 824 to the stop "Ukrainka"
The farthest swimming area in our review is located 30 km from the capital near the town of Ukrainka (Obukhovsky district of the Kiev region). Here, on the banks of the Dnieper, there are several beaches at once. The most popular of them is the city's central beach of Ukrainka. It is very spacious, well maintained and clean, equipped with toilets and changing rooms. There is a rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, you can rent a floating craft (boat, catamaran and even a yacht). The entrance to the territory is free. The beach is perfect for families with children: entry into the water is smooth and gentle, there are no breaks and sharp descents. There are usually not many people here. Due to the long distance from the capital on the beaches of Ukrainka, mostly local residents rest
