“Looking like a million” and dressing up in famous brands are not the same in practice. A high price tag or a well-known logo does not guarantee the quality of the item and the style of the image in general. After all, style is not about money, but about the ability to organically combine prints, shades and choose suitable styles.
I have on the channel article test, where I invite readers to determine which image is made up of budget items, and which of expensive luxury items. The results of the fashion game turned out to be unpredictable: mainly the participants voted for the mass market, believing that these particular outfits were collected from the premium segment. And where there was a suite, on the contrary, they thought that the outfit was not so expensive.
Below I will talk about the shades, styles and things in which you can be at your best, even if there are limitations in funds.
Noble tone
The achromatic colors are considered status - white, gray, black. Images in pastel colors always look more collected and presentable. By the way, white is more universal than black and is perceived as more expensive. Surely, you yourself have noticed that simple light-colored things have an amazing ability to look more expensive than their real price. If you don't want brightness - “turn off the color” - put on a white T-shirt, and put on a jacket on top. This is how everything brilliant looks like. Simply.
Also among the "expensive" shades - dark blue, burgundy, emerald. Of course, this does not mean that you definitely need to give up your favorite fuchsia, but if the goal is to impress, then calm, muted and deep tones will definitely give confidence.
Style
Two competing dresses from my test confused the participants. The difference in their cost is noticeable (red is Zara, and white with blue patterns is a premium brand), but they look equally impressive.
But trendy ruffles, ruffles, cute flowers are primarily not about status, but about femininity. If you want to look playful and romantic, then girly outfits will emphasize this easy attitude.
But if you need to position yourself with clothes more elegantly and broadcast to the world status and well-being, it is better to choose laconic styles that structure the figure and okay on sit there.
Geometric prints have stood the test of time, so clothes in "houndstooth", cage, stripes, peas give the impression of being expensive (even if they were bought in the mass market).
But the floral pattern will always forgive the appearance a little. Remember the dress from the movie "Pretty Woman" - brown with white polka dots? Playful yet elegant, socially flattering. If the same style was in a field chamomile, the effect would be completely different.
Things-codes of an expensive wardrobe
These are timeless basic pieces of clothing, combining which you can create dozens of successful sets and be at your best, even if there are limited funds. For convenience, I propose to play a fashionable constructor: compose outfits and photograph them, and save the pictures to favorites so that in the morning rush to easily repeat one of the images.
So, high or mid-rise straight trousers. They are essential to achieve the alluring effect of infinitely long legs.
Another, perhaps, irreplaceable thing - straight-leg jacket. It is good if it is made of dense fabric and keeps its shape.
Noteworthy shoes - with a comfortable last, for example, the classic kitten hill pumps with heels.
As "Expensive" accessories case bags show themselves perfectly. It is better to choose geometric shapes with a solid frame.
As a rule, the tone of the status image is set by the fittings, and if the metal is cheap, then no case will block its joyful radiance.
