Gone are the days when the "golden youth" walked in orderly rows to the cinema to capture themselves in eternity (or spit on it, as Ranevskaya said). In the era of Instagram, with its ideal photoshop statics, girls and boys go into the modeling business, where it is no longer necessary to even be beautiful and formatted. I just want to remember the worn-out classics with the polite request "Don't sing, just go back and forth." So they go, but sometimes they still sing and act in films.
The girl is ripe
Several years ago, the industry began to regularly open doors for new names with old surnames. From the catwalks and glossy photos, the daughters of Vanessa Paradis and Cindy Crawford, whose PR people quite openly exploited the similarities with famous mothers, turned their still unintelligible glances at us.
Last year, the world began to look more and more closely at the features of the young Virgin of Cassel - the daughter of the curvy Italian goddess Monica Bellucci and the French "king of scoundrels" Vincent Cassel. And there is something to peer into.
In 2016, the paparazzi captured a 12-year-old Virgo on the street with her mother, who somehow unexpectedly stretched out for everyone, ceasing to be a funny girl with rebellious Kassel curls.
Since then, she has lost weight, prettier, turned into a girl and even, apparently, pricked her lips (and her eyelids were strangely pulled up). On top of that, she has developed a professional model look with a touch of either contempt or painful longing.
Last year it became clear that everything was serious. Filming for the advertising campaign for Dolce & Gabbana sparked a wave of publications in the media and on social networks that glorified the beauty of the Virgo, comparing her to her mother. Only Monica looks like an article with dark long hair, inheriting the eyes of her ugly father with devilish charisma. The girl has matured and blossomed. The main thing is not to blossom.
Beauty, but not the same
Virgo is certainly beautiful, but not the flawless beauty that her mother was famous for in her youth and early maturity. Monica's beauty was called too ideal, devoid of individuality. Many people notice that such girls all over the world, and in Russia, especially on its southern outskirts, are a dime a dozen. Really.
Monica was not a top-level model, comparable to her peers who trampled the catwalks of the 80s and 90s. But she grew into the diva that she later became. She grew up not without the participation of cinema, which now and then glorifies and periodically tramples her earthly beauty - flawless, vicious, fatal, uncomfortable, forbidden and annoying for many.
When looking at a Virgo, it does not leave a feeling of deliberation, torture, artificiality. It’s like there’s a spark, but in order to ignite a flame from it, you need to work with your hands, fans, fans and heavy equipment...
It is clear that without the brainstorming of marketers, PR people and other gods of advertising, not one even the most charming starlet will become a world-class star. But Virgo is too obviously dragging the trail of her mother's fame behind her.
Dolce Vita (and Gabbana)
In rare unglamorous photos and videos, Virgo Kassel looks like an ordinary teenager, not fooled by fashion. Lively, cheerful, spontaneous. In professional photos, she takes on a facial expression that cools her southern beauty. Frozen Kate Moss immediately comes to mind, and from more recent ones - Bella Hadid or Kristen Stewart are not laughing.
Will she be of interest to brands other than Dolce & Gabbana as an independent model without "special effects" in the form of repeating her mother's poses and trying on her dresses from old photo shoots? Time will tell. Most likely, of course, there will be. If Lily Rose Depp with the face of Vanessa Paradis and the legs of a weightlifter could, then Virgo will be able to advertise perfumery and cosmetics.
Last year, Deva Kassel posted on Instagram just a few seconds of a video where she purrs something to a guitar in Portuguese. Once again, fans were in awe of how versatile and talented she is. And someone, anticipating the next singer-actress-creative personality, will surely think: "Don't sing, Girl, but just go back and forth."
