In this regard, we will twice get a small three-day "vacation". In total, there will be 20 working days and 10 rest days in June. It's time to plan family outings and weekend tours.
Memorable dates June-2021
On the first day of the first summer month, our country celebrates International Children's Day. This is not so much a holiday as a memorable date. It was first celebrated globally in 1950 to draw the attention of adults to children's rights and child safety issues. Nevertheless, on this day it is traditionally customary to please the children, entertain and give them gifts. Various shows and entertainment events are held for children in all cities of Ukraine. Kiev also did not stand aside: on
Children's Day in the capital you can go to a children's party or a theatrical excursion. On the same day, June 1, the world celebrates another holiday: a few years ago, the UN timed to this date World Parents Day. Therefore, today, together with your children, do not forget to congratulate grandparents. And if possible, be sure to visit them.
In the first decade of the month, June 9, the country will celebrate International Friends Day. The holiday this year falls on a "working" Wednesday, so you need to prepare for friendly meetings on this day in advance. Another memorable date in June is Father's day. In Ukraine, this holiday is celebrated every third Sunday in June (this year on the 20th). Despite the fact that the holiday is quite young (it was officially approved only in 2019), congratulate your dads this day is a must.
On the last Sunday of June, Ukrainians traditionally celebrate Youth day. This year the holiday falls on the 27th. This is our national memorable date, which was approved back in 1994. By the way, that is why Ukrainians can celebrate this holiday twice: International Youth Day is celebrated all over the world on August 12.
Public holidays June-2021
There will be two holidays in June that are marked in the state calendar with additional days off. The first one is Trinity, or Green Holidays. This is one of the most important holidays of Orthodox Christians. Every year it is celebrated on the 50th day after the Bright Resurrection of Christ (therefore, the Trinity is also called Pentecost). According to tradition, on this day it is imperative go to church and spend time with family and loved ones. Therefore, on Trinity, the state always gives believers a day off. This year the Trinity falls on June 20. Since it is Sunday, the day off is automatically carried over to weekday Monday. So we will rest on Pentecost for three days, from June 19 to June 21 inclusive.
At the end of the month, June 28, the country celebrates one of the main national holidays - Constitution day. This is a jubilee year: Ukrainians will celebrate 25 years since the adoption of the country's Basic Law. Interestingly, this date is the only public holiday that is enshrined in the Constitution itself. Every year on this day, Ukrainians are given an additional day off. This year, Constitution Day falls on Monday. Accordingly, we will rest for three days: from 26 to 28 June inclusive.
