Despite the gloomy weather outside the window, weekend May 9 and 10 promise to be nice and clear. After the rain, the sun shines so brightly and the air smells so distinctly of spring! It's time to get off the couch and go with the kids in search of street entertainment. There won't be many of them this weekend: Kiev has not yet recovered from quarantine, so many exhibitions and festivals have been postponed to the end of May. Nevertheless, you can choose a location to your liking, or even be in time for everything. So plan your weekend and collect the kids: balloons, dinosaurs, robots and tulip fields are waiting for you.
Balloon Festival "Mongolfieria"

The Hot Air Balloon Festival "Mongolfieria" will open on Mother's Day on the territory of the exhibition complex "Expocentre of Ukraine". On this day, guests of the festival will be able to admire huge balloons (the size of a five-story building) up close, take a lot of unique photos and even take off in one of the balloons. The cost of the flight is 450 UAH. per child and 650 UAH. from an adult (taking into account the entrance to the festival). Tethered flights are planned at VDNKh - 10 minutes long and no higher than a ten-story building. But next weekend, May 14-16, you can go on a free flight in a balloon. It will last almost an hour: during this time you will rise in a hot air balloon to a height of several hundred meters. The free flight festival will be held in the Makarovsky district of the Kiev region, 30 km away. from the capital. Pay attention to the time of the festival: in the warm season, balloons cannot fly into the sky during the day. Therefore, at VDNKh "Montgolfieria" will open at 18.00, and in the Makarovsky district, flights start more freely at 5.00 and at 18.00.
Exhibition "Dinopark"

Last week, immediately after the capital left the red quarantine zone, a unique exhibition of dinosaurs opened in the Kiev Hydropark. Dinopark features more than 100 life-sized robotic figures of prehistoric dinosaurs. They open their mouths, shake their heads, blink their eyes, and wag their tails. The lizards are made very realistically, and will please not only the little ones dinosaur lovers, but also to all other children. This park will operate permanently and will become the largest stationary dinosaur park in Ukraine, the Kiev city administration promises.

This Friday was the grand opening for visitors of the 11th annual tulip exhibition at the Song Festival Grounds. This year, more than 700 thousand plants have been planted there. colors of 30 different varieties. Many of them are already in active color, so the guests of the exhibition are promised bright and colorful photos. In addition to tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and muscari are now blooming on the Song Festival Grounds. These are not chaotic lawns with flowers: 15 landscape designers worked on the composition for the exhibition. Therefore, the aesthetic pleasure of walking along the Song Festival Grounds is guaranteed to you. By the way, this year the recreation areas, paths and other improvement elements have been updated in the park. Therefore, it should be convenient to walk there with strollers and baby transports.

From the beginning of May in Kiev, it finally started working exhibition of robots, the opening of which was announced at the beginning of April. It is held indoors, in the Gorodok Gallery shopping center, but the organizers promise that all sanitary and quarantine standards are observed at the exhibition. It will be interesting not only for boys, but also for girls and even parents. In "Robopark" you will be greeted by more than fifty of the most advanced and modern robots from all over the world. This is a robot TV presenter, a conversation robot, a robotic animator, Elvis Presley, a mechanical dog with the habits of a live dog, and many others. All robots can be freely communicated, and some can even be controlled. In addition, RoboPark has 7 virtual reality zones, unique augmented reality glasses, a fruit piano and a workshop of the future.
