Our president turned May weekend into New Year's one in terms of duration. During this time, of course, one could enjoy a vacation in Turkey or Zanzibar, but alas - we are content with Adler's pebble beach and expensive Crimea.
It wouldn't be a worse option if we arrange a vacation at a resort at home. Or around you. With the help of a "resort" perfume, whose trail will kindly take us by the hand and spend a couple of hours to the Mediterranean coast and enjoy the sea breeze.
No banal aquatic notes, the smell of a men's locker room and "fresh" deodorants.
1. Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt
The unique sea air of British beaches inspired the Swiss perfumer Christine Nagel to create Wood Sage & Sea Salt. She is very talented, for which hits like Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Giorgio Armani Si are worth.
The aroma of pebbles heated in the sun, warm sea, grapefruit bitterness and dry pieces of wood. Sage with soot rolls in waves.
Someone else in it picks up the Irish leather notes from Memo. Alas, I didn’t have to sniff this :-)
In general, it is a great aroma, where the spa notes are very clearly caught. Neat train, at arm's length. Does not choke, migraine in people standing next to it will not cause.
There is one drawback: like any cologne, this fragrance is not persistent, it lasts for 5-6 hours.

2. Aedes de Venustas Copal Azur
I understand that each of us interprets smells in his own way. The sense of smell is an individual thing, with its own blind spots.
But for some reason, this particular scent I associate with walks on the Sochi beach. That smells of Sochi pebbles to me and that's it.
Frankincense is also very beautifully revealed: it is so pure, bright and vigorous. Sometimes it flickers with rusty metal and dried cloves.
Powerful, rich, it is simply impossible to find analogues to it. I have never come across such a unique combination of ozone, sea salt, incense, spicy, camphor and mineral notes. No wonder, because the fragrance was created by Bertrand Duchaufour, and he is the genius of modern perfumery.

3. 27 87 Perfumes Hamaca
Let me introduce you to an interesting Spanish perfume brand 27 87 Perfumes, about which very little has been written. Because the lion's share of attention in modern perfumery is given to luxury brands.
27 87 Perfumes release fragrances for, shall we say, "digital generation". For those who turned only 18 years old last year or two.
The younger generation is not interested in perfume pretentiousness: complex chypres, vintage aldehydes, camphor notes are simply disgusting for them.
What the older generation calls legendary, for them it gives off "grandmother's" with grandfather's moonshine and musty spices. Young people are interested in what is simpler, fresher or tastier. To make the aroma "read" as easy as possible.
In the line of 27 87 Perfumes, the most interesting perfume is Hamaca. Salt water with coconut on a sandalwood backing. Simple, but perfectly balanced, equally divided: sea salt, coconut, sandalwood and soft vanilla like in real rum from the Caribbean.

4. Hermessence epice marine
We conclude our selection with a serious, complex and luxurious Hermes boutique line. The creator of the fragrance is Jean-Claude Ellena.
Here we have very salty sea water with a high concentration of iodine shades of algae and spices. It's like swimming in the sea and at the same time eating Uzbek pilaf by both cheeks. Perfume evokes strange and a little wild associations in me :-)
He is very difficult to understand, from the first zip you are unlikely to make friends with him. Most likely it will appeal to fans of island Scotch whiskey, where salt, iodine and peat are the authentic ingredients of the aroma.
Persistent, but intimate on the train.
