Scientists have found out who has a higher risk of stroke - in vegetarians or meat eaters
Is it better to be a vegetarian or a meat-eater?
Scientists from Oxford unveil results research, which was led for 18 years. It was attended by more than 48 thousand people who do not suffer from heart disease and strokes. Among them - 23.5 vegetarians (including strict vegans and pescetarians who eat fish and seafood) and 24 thousand meat eaters.
It turned out that the vegan and vegetarian lifestyle reduces the risk of coronary heart disease by 22%, for pescetarians by 13%. But! Exclusively plant-based diet increases the risk of stroke by 20%.
In general, we come to the conclusion that we always lose something, no matter what diet we follow.
Therefore, I recommend that you just behave yourself reasonably. Eat in moderation, varied, beware glycation end products, lead an active lifestyle, do not abuse alcohol and do not smoke at all.
