Where Ukrainians will go on vacation in 2021, how have the prices for vacations changed and what to look for when choosing a tour - the expert says
Top - Egypt and Turkey
Most often now they are looking for tours to such countries:
Egypt - 64%,
Turkey - 22%,
UAE - 6%,
Dominican Republic and Maldives - 2% each.
"These are warm countries that you can get to with minimal difficulties and good discounts.", - explains Elena Geychenko.
If earlier direct flights to Egypt were only in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, then in 2021 the resort of Marsa Alam with a direct flight becomes more and more popular. Previously, this resort could be reached by bus in 3.5 hours.

To get to Egypt, you need to have a negative PCR test, issued no earlier than 72 hours before arrival, with a translation into English. The exception is children under 6 years old.
The Dominican Republic and Maldives appeared in the top for several reasons:
tours have become cheaper (rest for 8 nights on the all-inclusive system from UAH 40,000 for two, this is much cheaper than in 2020);
Thailand and Sri Lanka are closed, but there is a demand for exotic.
COVID-19 and cancellation insurance is a new reality
For popular destinations, travel packages usually include basic health insurance that covers treatment COVID-19 in the country of rest, as well as travel cancellation insurance with a positive PCR test for all tourists on a tour with a franchise of 15 to 30%.
In case of a confirmed positive PCR test in Ukraine, the tourist must contact the insurance company of the tour operator. If there are symptoms of the disease in the holiday camp, contact the hotline of the insurance company and then follow the recommendation.
“I recommend everyone to pay attention to the amount of coverage of insurance risks in the policy. You can protect yourself as much as possible by purchasing a more extended insurance program, ”comments Elena Kheychenko.

Europe in question
Since April, Cyprus has opened its borders to Ukrainians. Greece may become available to Ukrainians in May.
Entry rules are constantly changing. But there is good news - large tour operators provide an opportunity to transfer money to another tour or rebook for the period when the borders in the selected country will be open.
Prices fell, but will rise by the season
In March, tour prices fell by 40-50%. “At the end of March, it was possible to buy a tour with a departure on March 29 for three adults and one child in Sharm el-Sheikh for 13.5 thousand UAH for all. This amount includes all-inclusive hotel accommodation, airfare, transfer, insurance, ”says Elena Geychenko. This situation, in her opinion, will not last long. As soon as the quarantine restrictions and the information background equalize, prices will rise. “On the May holiday, the same tour costs UAH 38,000,” the expert comments.
