In winter, the skin of the hands suffers from frost and cold wind almost more than the skin of the face. We almost never forget about the face, but our hands are often left "aside." This is especially true for mothers who carry strollers. Hands are often hit by wind and cold. As a result, we get a situation where even special creams do not help. Dry and rough skin absorbs them in minutes without visible changes. In this case, you just need to add masks to the mandatory hand care. They have a deeper effect on the skin than creams. To do this, you do not have to run to a cosmetics store - we have selected five recipes for masks, the ingredients for which are available in almost every home.
How to properly apply a hand mask
Moisturizing and nourishing - these are the two main effects that women’s hands need after winter. Whatever the type skin your face, the skin of your hands is never oily. Moreover, the natural moisture in the hands is three times less than in other areas of the skin. If you do not moisturize them regularly, your hands will not only give out your true age, but will also "throw over" you extra heels. With creams, everything is clear: I applied it, let it soak in and went about my business. But hand masks take a little longer. So that this time is not wasted, there are several rules in the use of such masks.

- The exposure time of the mask is at least half an hour. However, it is best to apply the mask to your hands at night. During this time, the skin will have time to get saturated with useful substances and "rest" from negative external factors.
- Apply the mask to your hands under your gloves. If it is during the day and for half an hour - "pharmacy" or even polyethylene from the supermarket will do. If you are making a mask at night, it is better to use cotton ones. Firstly, this way you will definitely not stain yourself or the bed. Secondly, gloves create a compress effect, warming up the skin and the active ingredients of the mask.
- Clean your hands before applying the mask. Optimally make peeling or steam your hands in a herbal infusion bath. If this does not work, then you need to thoroughly wash your hands in warm water and soap.
- Use the mask in one go. Homemade hand masks are made from natural ingredients and therefore cannot be stored. Prepare the mask per application and do not store leftovers.
- After the mask, apply the cream to the skin. The hand mask can be removed with a dry or damp cloth, or you can wash your hands with warm water. Be sure to complete the procedure with the application of your usual cream - it will restore the lipid layer and fix the effect of the mask for a long time.
