Experts have long deduced the signs of digital fatigue:
- procrastination. This is when a person cannot force himself to get down to business, and instead scrolls through the Instagram feed, likes videos.
- memorization problem. Friends, do you even remember by heart your best friend's phone number? Most likely you have it on autodialer ...
- decreased productivity. The simplest tasks take hours, and you can't even understand why this is so.
- chaotic time management. You do not plan anything and cannot even think about it, life rushes in a muddy stream, and you, along with the chips, are whirling in the whirlpools.
There are even physical signs:
- headaches,
- muscle tension,
- phantom vibrations in the thigh areaas if a message is coming to the phone in your pocket. In this case, the phone can lie quite calmly on the table.
And the saddest thing for me from this whole list of signs is
missed opportunity syndrome. It seems that the whole world is rushing somewhere, something is happening somewhere, and everything is the same with you. You are hopelessly behind. I'm even in ClubHouse signed up (@doctorPavlova), although I feel a serious overload on all fronts.What to do?
The only cure for all of this is informational detox. Turn off the phone, leave it at home, and go to the forest, on skis. Try to spend at least one day off a week without gadgets. Well, at least half a day off. Well, at least a couple of hours before bed. Well, at least ...
