Why you can't stop drinking antibiotics at the first improvement: the doctor explains. Part 2

Part 1: Three mistakes in taking antibiotics

Already now, whole classes of antibiotics have been withdrawn from use, since bacteria are almost one hundred percent resistant to them.

We ourselves make antibiotics useless

For example, it is already useless to be treated with Nobel penicillin or ampicillin. And, alas, there is no hope that in a hundred or two hundred years the bacteria will change so that penicillin will work again. Bacteria "remember" their drug resistance and will restore it very quickly.

Developing new types of antibiotics, despite the impressive advances in pharmacology, is very expensive. Research and development takes many years, and an antibiotic will work (consider it to be profitable) no more than 10 years.

Because during this time we will grow bacteria super-resistant to it in our bodies.

There is sad data that in recent years not a single new class of antibiotics has been discovered

- no one really looks for them. And this is against the background of the insane consumption of these drugs with or without reason.

It's good that in many countries it is forbidden to stuff poultry and cattle with antibiotics, the meat and dairy industry has given a huge acceleration to the flushing of the latest medicines down the toilet.

At one point, we may find ourselves without help at all.

Doctors already cannot help very many tuberculosis patients. In Russia, for example, people have historically been sick with tuberculosis in the zones. There were a lot of untreated people who infected new ones, etc., as a result, cultivating a resistant tubercle bacillus.

And, although the situation with the disease as a whole in Russia seems to be improving, at least 10 percent of tuberculosis has a multi-resistant form - it does not take any medicine.

How to take antibiotics

In general, take antibiotics very responsibly. Let the doctor prescribe them for you, and do not stop drinking them in the middle of the course, as soon as you feel better.

And as for my friend, who sore throat then I advised her to gargle her throat first warm water with salt and soda (weak solution) every hour and sprinkle with yoks three to four times a day. By the way, chlorhexidine with water in a ratio of 1: 1 can also be rinsed, but not often -1-2 times a day, since it will dry out the mucous membrane, and this should not be done. And the next morning the situation was much better, without any antibiotics.
