Virologists at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kansas have discovered a way to eradicate the coronavirus.
Kansas State University researchers Yunjon Kim and Ken-Ok Chan publish paper on particle destruction COVID-19 using a natural enzyme.
According to Science Daily, scientists have found that the enzyme responsible for the reproduction and survival of the coronavirus in mice can be blocked. The studies were carried out in laboratory mice and using the human viruses MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus family).
The team is now preparing for a new phase of research that will focus on finding a therapeutic agent for human coronavirus infection.Already, the enzymes described in the work are considered as a medicine.
