Soap or antibacterial gel: what to choose during the COVID-19 pandemic?

In many pharmacies in Ukraine it is no longer possible to buy antibacterial gels due to the dangerous coronavirus pandemic.

But will antiseptics really save us from the virus?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA), hand washing with soap is much more effective at killing viruses than gel.

Hand wash with soap for at least 20 seconds, paying attention to the space under the nails and the areas between the fingers.
According to Dr. Stephen Morse, professor of epidemiology at Columbia University in New York, antiseptics help fight germs due to their high alcohol content (60 to 90%). However, this is not enough if the antiseptic is used on dirty or greasy hands.

Don't be discouraged if you don't have enough antiseptics.

You will be more protected if you get into the habit of washing your hands for 20 seconds and then wiping them with a mixture of alcohol and glycerin.

Attention! If there is reason to worry that there is a coronavirus on your hands, you can use alcohol without glycerin, and then moisturize your hands with cream.
