TOP-3 substances for activating immunity in the midst of a pandemic

Scientists from the University of Dietetics and Nutrition in Florida have identified three substances that help strengthen the immune system.

These are vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc.

According to Christina Palacios, who specializes in healthy nutrition, each of these substances performs its function and is very important for a strong immunity.

Vitamin C is necessary for the production of white blood cells, they are the ones that fight infections in the body. Now everyone can provide themselves with vitamin C by adding the following foods to their daily diet:

  • oranges,
  • grapefruits,
  • cranberries,
  • lemons.

As for vitamin D3, in the winter season it cannot be obtained through exposure to the sun, supplements will do.

The lower the vitamin D level, the higher the risk that adults will develop respiratory disease.
It promotes strong immunity and zinc, it is able to suppress the production of viruses in the body (due to which the pathogen spreads rapidly). Zinc is a good means of preventing coronavirus as well.
