This requires not mountains of gifts, not private schools and not additional "development".
1. Always be on the side of the child
Whatever happens, the child must know that his mother is on his side. From here is born trust, which is fundamental for the relationship between parents and children. If the child knows that you are always on his side, then he becomes more self-confident, more honest and open.
2. Don't forget to rest
A rested mother can give her child much more than one who sacrifices her life, time, all the strength to deal with the child 24/7. But only a joyful and happy mother can raise a really happy child. Like on an airplane: first we put on an oxygen mask on ourselves, then on the child. Because if you take care of yourself, then there will be no one to take care of the child.
3. Don't be an overseer
Yes, it is your responsibility to ensure your child's safety and monitor his health. But controlling every step, not letting the kid explore the world, and the teenager to spend time outside the house with friends is already too much. The child must make his own mistakes, understand the cost of independence and the importance of responsibility. But if you don't let him go a step further, then he will remain dependent on you.
4. Do not force food if the child does not want to
If the child is hungry, he will not refuse food and will ask for a supplement. But if he has already eaten, and there is still food on the plate, you cannot insist that he finish eating, threaten or get angry. So you will form the child's eating disorders, which will then be difficult to deal with.5. Do not impose your opinion
Allow your child to express himself, dress the way he wants (if it does not harm his health). Go to kindergarten in a princess costume - why not? Make sure that your child grows up as a self-sufficient person, independent of the opinions of others. Don't like how the child plays with his toys? Well, if he breaks, he will receive a lesson that will work much more effectively than your words. But yelling at a child, insisting on his own, in order to supposedly make him better is a bad option.
6. Respect your child's friends
The more you resist the child's friendship with someone, the more the child will want to communicate with that friend. But you will become the "enemy" in his eyes.
