Three winter recipes with pomegranate

Pomegranate is a tasty and very useful product for combating winter vitamin deficiency.

Pomegranate always draws special attention to the dish and makes every table festive.

Plus, it has a ton of health benefits:

  • reduces the risk of diabetes and cancer
  • saturates the body with B vitamins, vitamin C and E, amino acids, potassium

  • accelerates metabolism and suppresses appetite.

We offer you three options for simple pomegranate dishes that you can delight yourself with every day.

Smoothie with pomegranate

You will need: 1 pomegranate, 150 g of banana pulp, 100 ml of yogurt, 30 ml of honey, crushed ice (the amount is at your discretion).

How to cook: separate the grains from the pomegranate, set aside 50 g for a smoothie, put the rest in cheesecloth and squeeze 100 ml of juice through it.

Place the grains and pomegranate juice in a blender, beat for about 1 minute. Add chopped banana pulp, yogurt, honey. Beat the mixture with a blender for another 1 minute. Add crushed ice at the end and beat again.

Meat salad with pumpkin and pomegranate

You will need: 1 pomegranate, 1 can of canned champignons, 500 g of beef, 300 g of pumpkin, 1 can of canned beans, 1 head of red onion, mayonnaise, salt.

How to cook: Boil meat and pumpkin in two casseroles until tender. After cooling, cut into cubes. Rinse the beans and mushrooms, cut the mushrooms into slices. Cut the onion into thin rings and scald with boiling water. Separate the grains from the pomegranate.

Combine mushrooms, onions, beans, pumpkin, and meat. Season with salt and mayonnaise. Then add the pomegranate seeds, which can be mixed into a salad or layered on top.

Pomegranate pie

For the test: 200 g flour, 100 g soft butter, 50 g sugar, 1 egg, 2 tbsp. lemon juice.

For the cream: 3 eggs, 3 pomegranates, 150 g sugar, 100 mln cream (30-35%).

For decoration: 2 tbsp icing sugar, pomegranate grains.

How to cook: sift flour, add butter, sugar, egg and lemon juice to it, mix everything well. Roll out the dough into a flat cake with a diameter slightly larger than the baking dish. Put the dough in a mold, arrange the sides and prick a layer at the bottom with a fork. Place the batter in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Cut the pomegranates in half, take some of the grains for decoration, squeeze the juice from the rest. Mix it with eggs and sugar, let sit for 30 minutes, then strain. Add 100 ml of cream, mix well.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cover the mold with the dough with parchment and sprinkle the beans on top so that the crust does not rise. Drink for 20 minutes with sadness and 7 minutes without it. Take out the cake, pour the cream on it and bake for another 35 minutes at 150 degrees.

Remove the pie and chill completely, sprinkle with powdered sugar and pomegranate before serving.
