Crafts can be easy and fun for the whole family.

New Year's crafts made from cones can be brought to kindergarten, presented to relatives - or you can simply decorate your home with them during the winter holidays.

Herringbone from one cone

You will need:

  • 1 large bump
  • PVA glue
  • hot glue
  • pot (or other base)
  • glitter
  • green acrylic paint
  • star to decorate the "Christmas tree".

How to do

Paint the cone completely green and let the paint dry. Then apply some PVA to the tips of the cones and sprinkle with glitter. Leave to dry again.

Use a hot glue gun to glue the bump to a pot or other base. Glue a small star on top of the bump.

Herringbone made of many cones

You will need:

  • a lot of cones of different sizes
  • dense Whatman paper
  • tassel
  • disposable gloves
  • spray paint
  • super glue or hot glue and glue gun
  • acorns
  • small decorations on the Christmas tree.

How to do

Clean the cones from debris, paint with an aerosol in a silver or golden color. To do this, you need to either go outside, or carefully prepare a place in a separate room. And don't forget to protect your hands with disposable gloves. After painting, the buds should dry out - this will require a well-ventilated area.

For the frame of the Christmas tree, make a cone of the desired height from whatman paper: roll up the sheet and secure with glue or tape. Treat the bottom so that it is level for the stability of the product.

The cone must be pasted over with colored cones using superglue or a glue gun, attaching the base to the cone. Start at the bottom and with the largest buds, and scale down towards the top. When all the bumps are glued on, close up the "bald spots" with small bumps or acorns.

From above, the resulting Christmas tree can be decorated with tinsel, foil, and small balls.
