Many people bypass persimmon, fearing it astringency. But this problem is solvable and should not become a reason not to consume such a healthy fruit.

Firstly, you can choose a non-astringent variety (for example, Sharon), and secondly, get rid of astringency at home. For example, persimmons can be frozen or soaked in water for 8-12 hours. You can also put ripe persimmons next to apples and bananas. Surprisingly, after a couple of days, the astringency can also go away.

Why is it useful for women to eat persimmon?

1. It contains a lot of dietary fiber, fiber, which helps to establish intestinal peristalsis (constipation is considered predominantly a female problem). This is especially true in the autumn-winter period, when almost all fresh vegetables and fruits are removed from the diet.

2. There is a lot of iron in persimmon. This helps to avoid anemia, and also restores the strength of the female body after menstruation, during which a lot of iron is lost with the blood.

3. Persimmons are rich in iodine. It is an indispensable element for the health of the thyroid gland - and therefore for the normalization of hormonal levels.

4. Persimmons can be eaten when losing weight. It contains about 80 kcal per 100 g, while it is a very satisfying and tasty fruit.

5. Persimmons contain vitamins A, E and antioxidants, which, among other things, are responsible for the health of the skin, hair, nails.

But remember, it's important not to overdo it with persimmon. It is enough to eat 100-200 g of fruit per day in order not to get problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Also, it cannot be eaten on an empty stomach - it is better as a snack between meals. But persimmon is not recommended for children under 3 years old, as well as for people with diabetes and everyone who has had gastrointestinal surgery. If you have a stomach or intestinal problem, consult your doctor if you can eat persimmons.
