In Ukraine, the cost of living will rise in 2021, because of this, you will have to pay more for alimony.
Already from December 1 of the next year the size payments to parents who are raising a child or children on their own, will increase. Today the amount of alimony in Ukraine cannot be lower than 50% of the subsistence minimum.
The amount of alimony in 2021
The increase will primarily affect parents who receive guaranteed payments. They are appointed by the state in the event that the person who must pay alimony has a low income.
If the profit is sufficient, the court will appoint at least the recommended amount - it is equal to the subsistence minimum.
In 2021, the guaranteed amount of alimony will be:
- For a child under 6 years old 961 UAH.
- For a child over 6 years old 1 198 UAH.
It is noteworthy that a child who continues to study after the age of 18 must pay alimony until the end of his studies (up to a maximum of 23 years old inclusive).
Alimony for children who have reached the age of majority will rise to 1,095 UAH.
