Do you remember that eau de toilette also has an expiration date? And it does not start from the day the bottle is opened.
Especially if you have several open bottles at once. Here are the basic rules for how to handle them.
1. Read the manufacturing date on the packaging. Perfume, of course, is not milk and will not turn sour a couple of days after the expiration date. But this product also has its own fitness term. On average, it is 3-5 years. Over time, a perfume can change its smell and properties.
And, of course, it is best to take "fresh", which was made recently and is revealed exactly as it was intended when it was created.
2. Store perfume in a dark place. It is not for nothing that they write on the packaging that the perfume should be stored in a dark place, away from sunlight, especially direct. Under their influence, eau de toilette or perfume can deteriorate at the molecular level and lose its qualities.
3. Monitor temperature and humidity. Another important point in the storage of perfume. The humidity should be no more than 70% - that is, it should not be stored in the bathroom. Also, a refrigerator or any hot room is not suitable for storing a bottle of perfume. The optimum temperature is 20-25 C.4. Avoid shaking. You do not need to shake the bottle. And the older the perfume, the stricter this rule. Moreover, you do not need to carry it in the car or carry it constantly with you in your purse.
5. Close the cover securely. Air should not enter the bottle, therefore the lid should always be tightly fitted. If the bottle with perfume has a spray bottle, then the risk of air ingress is small, but it is better to exclude it by using a cap.
