At first glance, this is a simple transport. And how really?

Many children love scooters. And especially if they see other kids around them who already use such transport. You don't need to ask your parents for a long time - the goal of buying a scooter has already been set.

But how to choose it correctly? Is it possible to take the first one that comes across, focusing only, for example, on color?

By the number of wheels scooters come in 2-, 3- and 4-wheeled. The latter, respectively, are the most stable, suitable for children under 2 years old, but there are almost no stores of them. So buying a 3-wheel scooter is a good choice. It does not fall without support, it accelerates well.

Two-wheeled scooters are suitable for children aged 5 and over. Separately, it should be said about completely plastic scooters - they are cheap, often 4-wheeled, but they make more noise than sense, they ride very poorly, it is difficult for a child to cope with them.

By material type the scooter can be completely metal (except for wheels) or combined with plastic. The first is more reliable, but heavier and more expensive. The second is lighter and more cost effective.

By the addition system: the scooter can be folded or not. Of course, it is more convenient to transport it when folded. But in fact, this transport does not take up much space to look for exclude folding. This property is more important for adult / teen scooters, which are larger.

In addition, there are scooters designed for riding on rough terrain. They are not usually found among children, but sellers may start recommending to you. For a child who rides in ordinary urban / rural conditions on the road or sidewalk, it is not needed.

When choosing a scooter for a child, it is important that the handlebar height is adjusted. Such transport will last longer for a natural reason - the child is constantly growing, and it will be convenient to adjust the steering wheel height to him.

It will also be more convenient if the handles are rubberized. So it is easier for the child to hold on, hands do not slip.

Wheels. They can be rubber and plastic. The second ones are durable, but driving them over any unevenness is a problem. With rubber ones it is easier - but they fail faster.

The scooter must have a brake. It can be foot or hand, but must be mandatory.

Scooter up to 3 years

A 3-wheel drive is ideal, in which the steering wheel does not turn, and the steering is tilted to the right or left. How to choose the height of the handlebar: the height from the base of the scooter to the elbow is + 10 cm. The steering wheel should be at the level of the solar plexus.

Kids also love scooters that have wheels that glow at speed.

Scooter in 3-4 years

Recommendations are similar to the previous ones. But if you take a model with a double rear wheel, then there will be better handling.

Scooter from 5 years old

Here speed already matters. Therefore, it is better to take an aluminum, two-wheeled scooter. It's lightweight, but not cheap. However, you cannot save much here: a good manufacturer is a guarantee of the quality and safety of the product.

It is also worth paying attention to the bearing class - it is advisable to take ABEC 7.
