Everyone has heard about the so-called false contractions - but can they be confused with real ones?
But there are many myths around false fights that are high time to stop believing.
1. False contractions occur after 36 weeks
Contractions of the muscles of the uterus, similar to contractions, can be at any time. Only at the beginning of pregnancy is this explained by the growth of the uterus and other features of the course of the process, and at a later date they are called false contractions. Moreover, they do not happen to everyone.
2. False contractions mean that the child is "asking" out
In fact, they can arise both for internal and external reasons. Sometimes - by themselves, sometimes - as a result of stress, overexertion, active sex life, dehydration, pressure from tight clothing, etc.
It is important to stay calm, get some fresh air, take a few deep breaths and exhalations, lie down, change body position.
3. False contractions are weaker than real ones
At the initial stage, real contractions are as painful as false ones, but they intensify very quickly. Within 10-15 minutes, you can definitely understand if you are really giving birth. Also, true contractions appear at regular intervals, and false contractions are irregular and quickly fade away.
4. False contractions can indicate the onset of labor.
The onset of labor can only mean true contractions and no others. If false contractions are not accompanied by any unusual discharge, pain and other alarming signs, then there is nothing to worry about, you just need to rest.
5. False contractions are painful
In fact, pain is a bad symptom, it should not be with false contractions. It is, rather, a pulling sensation, similar to the arrival of menstruation. If your stomach really hurts during pregnancy, you need to urgently consult a doctor.
6. False contractions harm the baby
If these are really training contractions, they will not harm the child. It's another matter if water began to drain ahead of time. Even so, the baby is strong enough to go through labor.
7. False contractions are repeated with every pregnancy
Each pregnancy, even for the same woman, is individual. If you had training contractions with the first child, you may not have them with the second, and vice versa.
More often during the second pregnancy, women are less worried about their condition, remain calm - hence the less likelihood of false contractions.
