Modern children from successful families often grow up jaded.
But the real child gets this good - who is so fed up with the opportunity to have everything he wants that he doesn't want anything at all. If only left alone with a tablet or computer.
What if the child has already had this condition? It's not too late to fix everything.
1. The main thing is your own positive example
If you yourself spend all your free (and not so much) time "hanging" in gadgets or watching TV, then it is strange to demand something else from your child.
Your life should include sports, books, hobbies, constant learning and self-development, the desire to spend time with loved ones without strangers gadgets and the Internet, family dinners without TV, etc. And only by observing such an example, the child will understand that such a lifestyle needs seek.
2. Arrange a family "detox" from gadgets and the Internet \
Go on a camping vacation with only a couple of push-button emergency phones with you.
Tents, kayaks, kitchen shifts, campfire songs - maybe at first the children will find it strange, but in the end they will still like it. The main thing is to maintain your own positive attitude and ensure the complete safety of such an event.
3. Shop only when absolutely necessary and on holidays
There is no need to buy any thing for a child as soon as he asks. Hence the lack of value for such a purchase is born.
4. Offer your child to earn and buy a thing on their own
No gifts and pocket money can be compared to self-earned. This, by the way, does not exclude that the child will also receive pocket money.
But only a thing bought for one's own money will be really worthwhile, significant, and its acquisition - deliberate. This, however, does not exclude that the same smartphone bought independently by a child will break as quickly as a donated one. But the attitude to the event will be different.Come up with a feasible task for the child, which can be additionally paid for: cleaning at the grandmother's house, washing the car, teenagers can get a half-day part-time job or work as freelancers as journalists, illustrators etc.
5. Give your child the choice
Often those who know that their opinion is not considered anyway do not want anything. Allow your child to dress as he sees fit (within the school rules, for example), even if it may look strange from the outside.
Ask your child for advice, sincerely ask his opinion, even in such mundane things as what to cook for dinner. And even more so, the child's opinion should be decisive when it comes to his appearance, leisure time, additional activities.
6. Let your child get bored without gadgets
The sooner you give him this opportunity, the better. It is boredom that allows children to invent activities and games for themselves.
And do not rush to suggest and invent everything for the child. Young children make up games themselves easily and simply, and with age, this ability is lost due to the presence of gadgets and other automatic ways to have fun.
