About three trillion dollars! This amount of losses is predicted by experts from the world tourism industry.

And on the other side - ordinary people who conscientiously collect for rest - all year round labor and savings.

Everyone suffered - both those who bought the desired vacation and the tour operators themselves. In the program "Ranok z Ukraine", which is aired on weekdays at 6:30 on the TV channel "Ukraine", experts told whether it is possible to return the money for a vacation that did not take place, and whether it is worth "freezing" it.

Instead of resting on the seashore - quarantine at home. Millions of people around the world find themselves in this situation. And Ukrainians are no exception. Tour operators, in turn, offer the transfer of travel to other dates, but in this case, you will have to pay a considerable amount.

Journalists of "Ranku z Ukraine" found out whether it is possible for the money spent to go on vacation, but in fewer tourists. It turns out that travel agencies do not agree to reduce the number of people for a number of reasons. First of all, no one can even predict how much a room, even a single room, or breakfast, for which it seems, has already been paid, will cost. Secondly, flights, their frequency and the number of seats on board.

"And the tour operator will have to incur some additional losses and buy additional tickets," - comments the head of the tour operators of Ukraine Igor Golubakha on the air of the channel "Ukraine".

That is why our experts also advise against "freezing" the voucher. Because it is impossible to predict what the prices will be in a year. In fact, money is the only thing that cannot be negotiated with a tour operator.

“The funds are not in the operation of the tour operator, they are paid abroad, to this or that hotel, to that or another organization, and these are certain inconveniences and economic risks for the tour operator ", - notes expert.

In all other respects, you can come to a compromise with the tour operator. Experts advise - the best option for both sides is to postpone the trip for three to four months. But be prepared that you will have to pay for this 20-30% more than the original amount. And write down all agreements with the tour operator in the additional agreement.

“There is a clause of the law of Ukraine, according to which a tourist can return all his funds, except for already paid by the tour operator: airlines, hotels, - comments the lawyer Maria Natha in the program "Ranok z Ukraine ". - Quarantine and the epidemiological situation in the country was recognized as force majeure. Now we are all in such a specific situation and, in principle, it is possible to agree on any conditions and in any case. The practice I have come across is very positive. "

So, it is impossible to return the full amount of funds. Agree to reschedule your trip and get ready to pay 20-30% of the cost of the tour. And most importantly, tour operators are now ready to consider any of your proposals.
