Most parents at first look forward to the first words from their baby, but after a year or two they dream of being in silence and somehow cope with the little "chatterbox".
Why do children talk a lot?
1. Features of temperament
In this case, usually one of the parents or grandparents also likes to talk a lot, which was passed on to the baby together in inheritance by temperament. As they get older, the child will understand more and more when talking is appropriate and when it is worth keeping quiet. The main thing is that the parents themselves understand this and convey it correctly to the baby.
2. Age features
At three years old, for example, a child actively learns the world: his brain works at breakneck speeds, he absorbs everything into himself, like a sponge, learns quickly and remembers, constantly processes new information, learns to find cause-and-effect relationships and do inferences.
Naturally, I want to share the results of such active mental activity. This is how the baby feels involved in the world of adults.
3. Lack of attention
Children often use chatter just to get the attention of adults. They change topics, ask questions, wanting to captivate their parents with a conversation about at least something. And without realizing it, they get the opposite effect when adults get angry, irritated and try to distance themselves.
4. Hyperactivity and attention deficit
A qualified doctor should give an opinion on such conditions; it is not worthwhile to diagnose the child on his own. It is important to remember that hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder is a difficult condition, but it is not a tragedy, you can live with it and successfully control it.
What other symptoms accompany hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder:
- frequent repetitive movements of the hands, feet, inability to sit quietly in a chair, agility;
- inability to concentrate on details, in a matter that requires concentration, avoidance and irritation from such activities;
- inability to concentrate, constant change of activity, desire to run, jump and move in every possible way in situations that are unacceptable for this.
If similar symptoms are consistently observed in a child from 3 years of age for 6 months or longer, then you should definitely contact a psychiatrist and a neurologist. In this case, the child will not be able to cope with his talkativeness on his own.
