Weight gain during pregnancy by week: doctor's table
To know how harmonious your weight change is, you need to know your body mass index (BMI). The doctor leading a woman's pregnancy, at the first appointment, measures her height and weight. There are tables for determining BMI, according to which the doctor finds the desired indicator and writes it down to the card. You can calculate BMI without assistance:
We multiply the height in meters by ourselves. With a height of 164 cm = 1.64 m, it will turn out: 1.64 × 1.64 = 2.6896.
Now we divide the body weight in kilograms by the resulting figure. With a weight of 54.2 kg, you get: 54.2: 2.6869 = 20.18.
The resulting BMI is 20.18.
Now you can see what kind of weight gain a woman should have during pregnancy by week.
