Children at risk of coronavirus

Children do not have 100% protection against coronavirus; in recent months, doctors are increasingly talking about severe courses of COVID-19 infection in minors.

Why have children not been at risk for a long time?

Doctors associated this phenomenon with the fact that people who returned from foreign trips were primarily sick. Serious threat to children arose after the infection began to spread within each country.

To protect a child from the coronavirus, parents must follow the hygiene rules:

  • we reduce the child's contacts,
  • we put on a mask and gloves,
  • talking about social distance,
  • often wash your baby's hands,
  • make sure that he does not touch his face with his hands.
At risk are primarily children with weakened immunity and chronic diseases. Here the picture does not differ from that recorded in adults.
