A lot of food waste can actually be turned into edible and - what's more - delicious food.

We are sure that from now on there will be much less food waste in your trash bin. Here's what you can cook from seemingly inedible parts of certain products.

1. Potato peelings

It is in them that the largest amount of nutrients is stored. But how are they? Wash well, dry, roll in spices and salt, dip in vegetable oil and then fry. This will make delicious and healthy chips.

2. Apple peel

It also has a lot of useful substances, and it's a pity to throw it in the trash can. You can cook compote, tincture, jam or jelly from apple peel.

3. Citrus peel

Surely you regularly throw away the peels of oranges and tangerines. And in it, meanwhile, there is a lot of vitamin A and enzymes, fiber. The rind can be dried, added to drinks for flavor, mixed with berries, honey and fruits.

4. Broccoli leaves

Like fruits, they can be fried, boiled or stewed, served with fish or meat. They contain a lot of vitamin A and antioxidants.

5. Carrot tops

It contains many times more vitamins and nutrients than the carrot pulp itself. The tops can be used in salads if they are first doused with boiling water.
