The baby has teeth - and he wants to gnaw everything. But is it safe to give him, for example, an apple?
These and other questions are answered by Dr. Evgeny Komarovsky.
Hard fruits and vegetables are dangerous because a child can choke on a piece. How to prevent this?
1. Watch what the child pulls into the mouth. If he took an apple to play with, then most likely he will bite along with the skin.
2. Don't make your child laugh while eating.
3. Do not allow your child to run, lie, talk, or play with food in your mouth in every possible way.
4. Until 4 years of age, do not give your child very dense and poorly chewed foods: nuts, seeds, apples and carrots (in pieces or whole), candies and toffee, popcorn.5. Children under 3 years old should not be given unpeeled fruits and fruits with seeds (plums, cherries, cherries, etc.).
6. If the child knows how to sit, you cannot feed him lying down.
7. Remove from the child absolutely all small objects that can fit in his mouth and get stuck in his throat.
