Famous French scientist Didier Raoul, who heads the IHU Mediterranee Infection Center in Marseille, shared about the study of an antimalarial drug on those infected with coronavirus.

He conducted an experiment in which 24 patients from Nice and Avignon, under the supervision of doctors, took drugs based on chloroquine.

This substance is used to treat and prevent malaria.

The patients received 600 mcg of chloroquine every day, and their condition was closely monitored by the doctors, as this drug can cause serious side effects. The treatment lasted 10 days.

We were able to establish that patients who did not receive hydroxychloroquine were still infectious after six days, but 25 percent of those who received were infectious.
