What do your kids know about Christmas? Today we invite you to introduce your children to this magical holiday in an interesting and accessible way.

You can tell preschoolers like this:

"Christmas is a holiday in honor of Jesus Christ. Some people celebrate it on the night of January 6-7, while we celebrate it on the night of December 24-25.

The night before Christmas is considered magical. If you make a wish and ask God, it will come true. Only desire should be kind. It was kindness that Jesus Christ taught people. Do you know how he was born? This story is very interesting ...

The miracle of Christmas lies in the fact that for the first and only time forever, forever Mary gave birth to a Child. An Angel brought the message of the birth of Jesus the Son of God. Mary and her betrothed Joseph were looking forward to God's child.

That year the Roman emperor Augustus wanted to know how many people live in his country. He ordered all residents to go to the census. Mary and Joseph went to the city of Bethlehem. They walked for a long time, the night was already approaching. I had to look for an overnight stay. Nearby, they found only a cave - a nativity scene, where shepherds drove their flocks in bad weather. We spent the night there. It was on that night that Mary's Son was born. She wrapped Jesus up and put him in a manger with hay.

That night, the shepherds grazed their cattle in the field. Suddenly, like lightning, a radiant, shining Angel appeared before them. The shepherds were very afraid, but the Angel of God said:

- Do not be afraid! I proclaim to you the great joy that all people will have. Today in Bethlehem the Savior was born, who is the Lord Jesus Christ. Go and in the cave you will find the Baby lying in the manger.

As soon as this Angel disappeared, the shepherds heard the wonderful singing. Whole choirs of Angels came down from Heaven to greet Baby Jesus, their King and Creator:

- Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, and good will to people!

All the Angels sang and rejoiced that the loving Lord sent His Son to earth to make all people good and then take them to His Heavenly Kingdom.

Then the shepherds went to the cave and, seeing there the Divine Child, bowed to Him to the ground and told Joseph and the Blessed Virgin about the appearance of the Angel. The Virgin Mary memorized all the words of the shepherds and kept them in Her heart.

The second news of the birth of the Son of God was a star. She appeared in the sky and was the brightest. It was seen by the Eastern sages - the Magi. They guessed that the star is the harbinger of a true miracle. And then they decided to go after her. An amazing star led them to Jesus. They saw Mary with a child in her arms and gave the Infant gifts: gold, incense and myrrh. And then they called Him the King of Heaven and Earth. Thus was born Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. "
