1. Quitting smoking is always a good idea. At any stage of pregnancy, but the sooner the better, you need to get rid of this habit. Mom's smoking leads to the development of anomalies in the child: from lack of height and weight, congenital diseases of the respiratory system to underdeveloped organs and the death of the baby.

2. The stress of smoking cessation is exaggerated. Put on one side of the scale your desire to smoke and the stress of not being able to do it, and on the other side - the very real possibility of giving birth to a still child or a disabled child. 4. Do not fall for the myth of gradually decreasing the number of cigarettes you smoke. Once you find out that you are pregnant, you need to quit smoking immediately and completely. All other myths are created in order to somehow justify the weakness of the expectant mother in front of her bad habit.
