How to overcome the kid's reluctance to swim and turn this procedure into a fun game?
For example, a baby once swallowed water - and now he is afraid of it.
Or sometime soap gets in his eyes - and he does not want to go into the bath again.
Or maybe an unpleasant incident happened to him on the pond or in the pool. Or he was once severely scolded for spilling water on the floor while bathing.
Sometimes it is impossible to get to the bottom of the true reason, and patience is running out, because bathing a child every night becomes a challenge for the whole family.
What to do?
1. Do not force
In principle, there is nothing to worry about if the child is not bathed on some day. If he agrees, wipe him off with damp towels.
Coercion will definitely aggravate the situation, therefore, in no case should you scold and force, bathe forcibly.
2. Suggest options
Try bathing options that your baby is not used to.
For example, if he is used to taking a shower, then take water into the bath, or vice versa. Or open the water, but do not collect and let the child play with the "waterfall".Or maybe, on the contrary, limit it to a large basin of water and a watering can.
3. Make bathing a game
Distract the child's attention with buckets, toys on suction cups, a bright rubber mat, a watering can. Offer to bathe the toy baby doll.
Buy baby bath foam and put on a foam show. In general, fantasize, children will appreciate it. While they are busy collecting foam in a bucket, you will have time to buy them. You will also be interested to read:
