From April this year, travel across Ukraine will become free for schoolchildren.
Ukrainian schoolchildrenand their parents are in for a very pleasant innovation, the launch of a program to increase youth mobility in the next few months.
According to Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk, the program is designed to remedy the situation with a small percentage of traveling schoolchildren.
According to the analytical data obtained, most of the children did not leave the borders of their region for 3 years. Not least of all, this is due to the high cost of such travel, parents' incomes do not allow for small trips around Ukraine to be included in the family budget.
The program will start operating in April, but not immediately across the country. The government plans to launch several pilot projects that will allow schoolchildren to travel around Ukraine for free.UAH 500 million has already been allocated for the project.
