The problem of fathers and children is nothing compared to the problems between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. If before the heroes of most jokes were the mother-in-law, now it was the mother-in-law who took this place. And, unfortunately, all of these humorous essays are often written from real stories. As the saying goes, a stupid mother-in-law after the wedding loses her son, and a smart one gets a daughter. I'll tell you the story of my friend. She managed to put her mother-in-law in her place, and for 10 years now she has not pestered her.
So, 10 years ago we were all very happy when our dear friends Igor and Julia decided to get married. They were the only couple from our company that had not yet tied the knot. The guys were in no hurry, because they wanted to find their own home. So, when there was very little left before the purchase, about a couple of months, they still went to the registry office.
At the wedding, all the guests presented a couple of congratulations and presents. Yulina's parents came only to the celebration, and Igor's parents were local. Dad really worked in another city, and mom is here in a small office. So, the wedding was played, and since there was no home yet, the couple stayed with the groom's parents, more precisely, with the mother, because the father rarely appeared there due to constant work.
A couple of weeks later, Julia suddenly noticed that her mother-in-law was somehow strange to her. No, she did not make scandals, she was playing some kind of secret game. She did everything to drive her daughter-in-law out of the house, but neatly. Apparently she wanted her son to "open his eyes" to his real wife.
In general, Yulka was always normal. Igor is her first man, she is an excellent mistress and beauty, her character is golden. But the mother-in-law probably did not like the fact that in the life of her son there was another woman besides her.
Julia's relationship with her husband was always good, it seemed that this irritated his mother most of all. Even at the wedding, a relative showed her displeasure, appearing everywhere with a gloomy face, and clinging either to the guests or to the restaurant staff. Yulka did not pay attention to this, but over time everything worsened. The relationship was tense.
The mother-in-law began to treat her daughter-in-law somehow compassionately, constant pickiness and passive aggression were used. What can I say, she washed the dishes at night after her daughter-in-law. When Yulia asked her why she was doing this, she answered with a haughty smile that the dishes should not be left dirty overnight.
The woman was looking for any reason to reproach her new relative. But Yulka is a good and non-conflict girl. She perceived her mother-in-law as her second mother, accepted her reproaches as lessons and did not even take offense. She even shared her personal experiences with her “mother,” sometimes talking about her relationship with her husband, plans, and so on.
The mother-in-law had one fad. She was always just obsessed with cleanliness, her house was cleaned every day, there was not a speck of dust. All things are in their meta. So Yulka also had to clean up the apartment together with "mom", but she is not one of lazy people. But then, one of our mutual friends who worked with Yulka's mother-in-law, and who introduced Yulia to Igor, decided to open the girl's eyes to her relative. He said that the whole office knows that she is a bad housewife, about her quarrels with her husband. It was the mother-in-law who tried. All her colleagues knew that Igor was poor and unhappy, and Julia was mercantile and angry, and generally wanted to evict her mother-in-law from the apartment.
From that day on, Julia closed her mouth, and did not say anything more to her mother-in-law. She was just silent. She obediently scrubbed the apartment and made herself an obedient ideal daughter-in-law.
Once my mother-in-law was going on a business trip for two weeks. Julia and Igor strictly ordered them to clean the house every day. As soon as the “mother” left, the lovers decided not to clean up at all, but to organize a general cleaning by the arrival of the mother-in-law. But the mother-in-law seems to have guessed about the guys' plans and told them the wrong date of return from a business trip. And she came to her house not alone, but with her colleagues to dishonor her daughter-in-law and prove to everyone that she was a lazy person. But the same friend who worked with the woman warned Yulia about everything. The girl was very angry, and she decided to teach her relative a lesson.
Julia just licked the whole apartment so that it was impossible to find fault with anything. So the mother-in-law showed up, and with her 10 more employees. The woman carefully inserted the key into the lock, turned it quietly so that her daughter-in-law would not hear, and burst into the corridor with all her gypsy camp. Imagine everyone's surprise when it was discovered that everything in the apartment glittered and sparkled. Colleagues of the mother-in-law began to reproachfully look at her, exchange glances, whisper behind her back and even say in her face what a gossip she was. And where is the grandiose scandal in general, the lazy daughter-in-law and the dirt in the house, which she promised everyone? And the mother-in-law stood in bewilderment, red with shame and anger. And then Yulka ran out with a vacuum cleaner in her hands and said:
- Are you, the carpet is clean, and you didn't even take off your shoes?
And the mother-in-law looked very pitiful, she kept looking out for dirt or disorder somewhere, but she could not find anything. The woman's team left the apartment, and almost everyone went over to Yulka's side. And the mother-in-law disgraced herself, and now she no longer wentssip about her daughter-in-law, and stopped quibbling. Although, even if she tried to open her mouth, everyone at work brushed her aside.
A month later, the couple moved into their own apartment, and left the woman alone, alone with her poison. No, they talk, go to visit each other, mostly when Igor's father comes from business trips, and sometimes the guys still have to deal with the haughty look and reproaches of the “mother”. But the mother-in-law recalls that case to this day, and she becomes very ashamed, she does not talk about it.
