Long-term styling (hereinafter referred to as DU), lamination, velveteen and biowaving eyebrows are the same procedure, with practically the same formulations, the difference can only be in the pH (acidity) levels.
And I will even say more: the compositions of some manufacturers of funds (and maybe even all, now every second brand produces DU) for lamination of eyelashes and eyebrows are the same, they were simply placed in different packages, on one they wrote long-term styling of the eyebrows, and on the other - "eyelash lamination".
None of these treatments are care treatments. And even more so, it does not heal eyebrows, but on the contrary - such procedures dry the hair, and in this, as we know, there is nothing useful.
The procedure can be done no more than once every 1.5 months, and in some cases - no more than once every two to three months. It depends on how quickly your eyebrow hairs are renewing.
Formulations for long-term styling of the eyebrows break the disulfide bonds in the hair. There are more gentle compounds, such as, for example, protein reconstruction, where disulfide bonds are not broken, but stretched.
I noticed a very interesting fact: many masters think that there is still a difference in the compositions of lamination, velveteen, long-term eyebrow styling. And not only in the names. But this is not even their fault, but in the technologists with whom they were trained.
In our country (maybe in the world) there are many unscrupulous schools that teach badly without a twinge of conscience, not thinking that the master may harm the client in the future. But it’s even worse when the brow artist simply buys the long-term styling formulations without going through any training at all, and they think it's as easy as shelling pears - you smeared a layer, wait, then another layer and wait again, and the holding time of the compositions can also be on the package look.
They do not think that there are such eyebrows for which DU is contraindicated at all. And there are eyebrow hairs so hard that the exposure time can increase. There are such tiny nuances that they can only tell about in training, or even more than one. Of course, the craftsman can find out for himself by trial and error, but clients can suffer.
It makes no sense for you (and in some cases it is generally contraindicated) to do the eyebrow remote control procedure if:
- you have very thin, almost vellus eyebrow hairs. There is a chance of overdrying the hairs, which will lead to curling of the hairs or even breaking them off.
- your eyebrows are perfectly styled with eyebrow gel. Why overpay, if your eyebrows already fit perfectly, they won't get thicker from the remote control. If you want to make a remote control, because thin eyebrows become thicker, then no: they will not become thicker, this effect is achieved by coloring with paint, plus the correct calculation of the eyebrows. For the same effect, you can go to eyebrow dyeing, after the master will lay your hairs with gel and try to repeat the same at home.
- you recently dyed your eyebrows with henna. It dries the hairs, DU dries even more, and thus the hairs can be thoroughly dry up to peeling. And even if outwardly the eyebrows painted with henna before or after remote control look quite acceptable, then this may not affect the structure and condition of the hair for the better.
- you have recently done permanent eyebrow makeup. DU can be done only after complete healing.
- you have unhealed wounds, inflammations, etc. on your skin in the eyebrow area. It follows from this that the correction (hair removal) should be done after the procedure.
- pregnancy and lactation is also a contraindication to the procedure. Because it is not known how hairs or skin will behave. The composition may not take at all or become allergic, especially if you have never done DM and do not know what reaction your body can give. But not all masters follow this contraindication and even make pregnant women DU.
- you have downward growing eyebrow hairs, do not expect them to rise into the "fence". Even if the master combes the eyebrows onto the forehead, then such a change in the direction of the hair can lead to its breaking off. During the DU procedure, there is a 45-degree rule, that is, during the procedure, you cannot comb hairsaboutAngle greater than 45 degrees from their natural growth. Yes, and erect eyebrows with a fence, whatever one may say, do not look very beautiful.
After long-term styling, it is imperative to take care of the eyebrows. Just combing with a brush is not enough, because, as I wrote above, the remote control dries the hairs.
Some people advise using oils or conditioners for the eyebrows, but most good artisans who understand the effect of each formulation advise giving preference to conditioners.
After DU, the hairs lighten by 0.5 - 1 tone. If you do not want to dye your eyebrows at once, then consider this fact.
If you have already done the procedure for long-term eyebrow styling and after that your hairs break off, curl or split, then "congratulations" - you did the wrong procedure, can only fix time. You just have to wait for new hairs to grow back.
