Hello dear readers!

Today I would like to talk to you not about the lasting and sillage perfume. A lot has been written about this, the topic has been chewed a thousand times, I hope that everyone has found everything for themselves from perfumery.

I was interested in the topic of the so-called "healthy" perfume. These are not only those smells that soothe a person or, on the contrary, invigorate. But also the aromatization of the interior. By the way, it is much more difficult to choose a scent for your home than a perfume for yourself.

I came across a pillow perfume at the beginning of the year. They say it helps to fall asleep and improve the quality of sleep. Initially, I was skeptical about this. But on self-isolation, she was forced to look for all the ways to restore the previous sleep regime.

Do not sit on the phone and keep the room dark (even the laptop screen should be turned off) didn't help that much. Just because there were some inner experiences (

in particular work-related), which simply did not allow sleep. I tossed and turned, could not fall asleep for a long time, knocked sleep, walked sluggish and unhappy during the day.

I began to study in more detail the existing methods that help to sleep normally. Without any strong medicine. And stumbled upon great researchwhere a serious analysis of all the literature and existing scientific research on the effects of aromatherapy on sleep was carried out. In short: some scents actually help improve sleep quality and fall asleep faster.

Lavender and its ability to relieve stress, "dull" stress and restore emotional balance are very often mentioned. To be honest, lavender essential oil smells harsh and unpleasant. So I was looking for something else for myself, when I suddenly remembered about "perfume for a pillow".

The choice fell on NEOM Perfect Night's Sleep Pillow Mist.

This is an English perfume brand, and in this country all fragrances are very seriously controlled, at least they should not cause allergies. Plus, of all the perfume for sleeping, this option turned out to be the most budgetary.

According to the manufacturer itself, the composition of mist (this is a perfume with a light formula) contains 14 essential oils that are used in aromatherapy to improve sleep. Naturally, the myst formula includes lavender, as well as jasmine and basil. I have heard about basil more than once that it helps, so to speak, to "relax the brain": basil deprives all unnecessary thoughts that come to our minds in the evenings and we wind ourselves up in something.

In the fragrance, I can tell you, lavender is the soloist. In the first seconds after zilch, it is ringing, but then lavender is replaced by piercing, slightly earthy and bitter sprigs of jasmine, which are dulled by some kind of soft sugariness. Sharpness in the first seconds hits the nose so that if you have a stuffy nose, it will be much easier to breathe. Medicinal herbs mixed with something subtly sweet, maybe this is basil - it doesn't matter. I described the scent when I applied it to the blotter. And what my pillow smelled like - somehow I didn't think much about it. Because I really wanted to sleep.

It is possible that the bad memory of what scent I heard after I pissed mist on my pillow before bed is its main result. Yes, it helps to sleep. But you must understand that after the first breath, you will not fall asleep immediately, as after a strong sleeping pill. Just no unnecessary thoughts in your head, you do not think about anything and you fall asleep.

The myst is not persistent, and this is not necessary. I thought that in a stuffy bedroom because of the pungent smell of lavender, my husband and I would not sleep at all until we ventilated. But no. In the morning, nothing remains of the scent.

The instructions say: When you go to bed, pshik once on your pillow, then lie down and for 7 seconds inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth for 11 seconds. I didn't lie with a stopwatch, I just pissed on the pillow and went to bed, breathing as usual.

In general, I am happy with the mistom. For me personally, he solved the problem with sleep during this incomprehensible and strange period of conscious sitting around the clock at home and masked shopping for buckwheat. Placebo or not - it does not matter, once it coped with its task.
