Hello dear readers!
The life of models can hardly be called fabulous: strict diets, an unfriendly team, as well as the implementation of unusual ideas for photo: either dive naked into a cold aquarium and hold your breath for a long time, then in severe frost they take pictures in revealing outfits and etc.
But today we will talk about one work of a Russian make-up artist, which caused outrage among many. The opinions of people were divided: some severely criticize the makeup artist and accuse her of crippling the eyes of models with her "invention". Others do not see anything wrong with this.
Evgenia Yezhova is a Russian makeup artist whose Instagram account was promoted not thanks to a series of beautiful works, but a creative workshop in which she poured Johnson's Baby oil into the eyes of the model girls, mixed with pigment.
Is such an experiment dangerous for the eyes at all?
Eye irritation, blockage of lacrimal canals, conjunctivitis - that only people don't talk about this master class. And for some reason, not a single comment from a competent ophthalmologist.
They condemned them, but we don't want to figure out whether pigmented oil is really dangerous in the eyes or not.
I managed to get only one comment from ophthalmologists: essential oils cause allergies, they have a high sensitizing and biological activity, due to which, upon contact with the mucous membrane, a strong allergic reaction. Johnsons Baby does not contain essential oils, so there will be no allergic reaction, but it is imperative to rinse your eyes abundantly under running water or a solution of furacilin.
However! There is a perfume in baby oil. And no matter how the producers of the oil beat themselves in the chest, proving its hypoallergenicity - it is safe for the skin, but the oil was not intended for the mucous membrane. This should not be forgotten by all those who support Eugene.
But in the master class, Evgenia mixed oil with "mehron". Mehron is a professional make-up paint brand used for body painting, stage make-up and face painting. There are metallic pigments in their line.
It cannot be said unequivocally that baby oil with mechron is safe or dangerous for the eyes. The ophthalmologist will give the correct answer after the models themselves have had their eyes checked.
If someone is haunted by the eyes in the implementation of cool makeup, then there are special colored lenses, for example, for Halloween.
Why did you even need to fill your eyes with pigmented oil?
To get a beautiful photo for a portfolio of makeup artist and models. There is a minimum of Photoshop, which speaks of the professionalism of a commercial makeup artist. For many of their makeup edit in the same Face Tune.
On the other hand, getting carried away with such extreme make-up is so close to the realization of the picture "The Human Centipede" without Photoshop.
I am for a person to develop critical thinking. I do not approve of such pouring oil into the eyes (simply because washing it all out for a long time and just when washing out such a substance, you can damage your eyes). But I also don’t blame the make-up artist, when many change shoes in sofa ophthalmologists and make terrible diagnoses to models.
I condemn only for the fact that the model does not warn about possible risks. We live in a civilized society, where "disclaimers" and warnings about possible harm to health are added even to any commercial, and consultation with a doctor is a must. A makeup artist should invite models for such makeup after consulting an ophthalmologist.
What do you think deserves the "popular censure" of Eugene's makeup artist? Or is it not she who is responsible here, but the models themselves, who agreed to have their eyes flooded with oil? And why don't they cause so much negativity, for example, to paint the mucous membrane with kayal and walk with it all day? Share your opinion in the comments.
