In the salon, a master for me, a rather experienced girl, made a monochromatic gel polish without removing the coating for two hours. How long does it take?
Compared to what I did to myself for 3 hours (along with removing the old coating), it seems to be fast. Compared to another master who made me a manicure with a design for more than 4 hours - this is a very long time, I even thought that my fifth point had become alien. I understand that the design is a little more complicated than solid color, but not that much!
After long sessions of manicure, I always ask myself: "Can't manicurists do their job a little faster?". Recently I asked myself the same question, because the whole routine of making myself a gel polish starts to tire, plus my eyes hurt and my back was numb.
Once I decided to time the time how long I have been doing gel polish for myself. Here's what happened:
1) it takes about two hours to process: the longest - removing the old coating, more than 40 minutes - sawdust and cuticle processing;
2) nail repair takes at least 10-15 minutes;
3) Coating - about an hour.
If one of the masters, with diplomas and certificates, will do it for me longer in time, then I probably won't come to him again. I do not have a complex coating, my nails are well-groomed, there is no reason to mess with the usual monochrom for a long time.
Let's be honest: now many people do it with high quality, in any city there is a good master, but in my humble opinion, experienced craftsmen should do it efficiently and faster. Beginners are forgivable, we all worry and get nervous in the first days at a new job.
And I'm not the only one who thinks so: for a simple gel polish, without a pretentious design, a client will not come a second time to a master who does his job for a long time.
Therefore, the topic of speeding up work with manicure is relevant. Doing faster than before, but at the same time maintaining the quality of work - this is the professionalism of the master. Is not it?
I can't help but share some practical tips from experienced manicurists, who "pumped" the speed of their work. Many of them are useful and applicable for those who are used to making gel polish for themselves, but do not like to spend 3-4 hours of their life on it.
1. To do the filing of the form not BEFORE, but AFTER the manicure, will save about 30% of the time at this stage.
2. Remove the coating not completely on each nail, but in stages on all: first remove the front surface from all nails, then from one side on each nail, then from the other. The advice has been tested in practice, the withdrawal time is reduced by almost 2 times.
3. Learn in "Speed"quick alignment with a base of three strokes, this will take 5-7 minutes for all nails. There, in general, the course is such that all the advice collected here is a tiny percentage of all possible tricks with accelerating work.
4. Choose milling cutters that are easy to use, the speed of work greatly depends on it. Blunt cutters take longer to work, as with a red notch. For example, professional manicurists often work with 0.18 flames.
5. Conversations with a client are no worse than complete silence. Let at least the TV work in the background, quietly.
6. If you need to remove only the length, do it with a cutter, not a file. It's faster this way. With a file, only correct the shape and length at the end.
7. Learn to work as a conveyor. This is useful if someone is interested in developing professionally.
8. The most obvious thing is to choose materials that are convenient for you to work with (base, gel, top). This is just practice. With what consistency it is more convenient to work, with this and faster you will do the job.
9. Practice your design on tips more often.
The faster the manicurist does the job, the more clients he can receive per day. There are many advantages to speed.
