I recently attended a very interesting webinar with a beautician who appeals to me. There was a lot of information, including the benefits of morning lymphatic drainage. As part of this topic, we were told about the importance of relaxing the aponeurosis of the head. Today I want to talk with you about this and share the acquired knowledge.
Not every self-massage is useful, especially for various workouts of the facial muscles, it has many pitfalls. But there are very useful techniques that are aimed at health and, accordingly, beauty. This is, for example, head massage. I didn't even know how useful it is for our beauty in general. And you?
A bit of theory
Let's look a little into anatomy for a start. We have a wide tendon plate on our head, which is located under the scalp between the bones of the skull and the skin, it is called the aponeurosis. To make it clearer, it is sometimes called a scalp.
Ideally, it should be mobile and elastic; in children, for example, it should be as mobile as possible. But with age, everything changes, the aponeurosis loses the necessary ability to move and grows stronger to the skull. In addition to age, this is influenced by lifestyle, posture.
Without a specialist, you can determine how things are going by yourself - for this, gently grab yourself by the hair roots and move the skin. If the movement is easy, that's good. If your scalp is inactive, massage is especially necessary. You can compare the mobility of the skin in yourself and in the child, it will be even clearer and clearer.
What will massage the aponeurosis give us?
The benefits of massage are obvious, it gives:
- stimulation of hair follicles;
- movement of lymph and a charge of energy and strength;
- reduction of facial swelling and tissue prolapse;
- reduction of headaches if they are caused by loss of mobility of the aponeurosis.
Of course, there is no wow effect from massage alone. Beauty and care is a whole complex and massage is included in it. I do not promise that it will replace your injections, plastic surgery and so on and wipe 20 years from your face. But there is benefit! And for our hair, which grows worse over the years, and I'm not only about the length, but also about the density. And for our beauty, because in this case we are working on one of the reasons, and not just fighting the consequences.
Work on yourself instead of lamenting that you don't have a lot of money for a beautician. Ideally, of course, you need to combine, but each has its own capabilities. The easiest way is to give up on the excuse of lack of money and time. Covering your LAZY.
How to massage the aponeurosis
I like that it takes no more than 5 minutes, to be honest, I am sometimes lazy in leaving. And if the massage took 30 minutes, my fuse would go away quickly. I'm sure I'm not alone.
It is best to do it in the morning or in the first half of the day, as the acceleration of lymph gives a burst of energy and a small boost of vivacity. Although someone does at night, try as you like. If you are going to wash your hair, it is better to massage BEFORE washing, as the sebaceous glands are activated. After the massage, or just before it, it's great to use all kinds of hair growth things like ampoules and lotions or oils.
With our fingertips, we intensively massage the hair roots in circular movements, moving from the forehead to the crown, and from the crown to the neck, in the direction of the lymph. You can feel a pleasant warmth. I also massage my neck a little.
Next we have the captures. With both hands, grasps the hair at the roots in the temporal zone and moves it towards the crown. Then we grab the hair near the forehead and also pull it to the crown.
No need to pull out your hair or make harsh and rough movements. We do everything carefully, without fanaticism. We work out the entire surface of the head in this way, do not forget about the back of the head.
Separately, the back of the head can be massaged with fists, I once saw this movement from a girl who was working on the density of her hair.
We remove the hair in a high ponytail or bun, tilt the head forward a little and massage the side surfaces of the neck with the edge of the palm, from top to bottom. Do not hit yourself in the neck with frantic force!
We finish the massage with the following movement: we lead the skin from the neck to the shoulders, approximately from the area of the 7th cervical vertebra (withers), and accelerate the lymph.
Be sure to monitor your posture! If you feel dizzy, reduce the intensity of the exercise.
