To lose weight, you need to pull yourself together and not give up, having spent more than one month and even more than one year in this mode. Erika, 34, experienced it herself. She weighed 143 kg, but was able to lose weight and transform.
Overweight people most often suffer from complexes and self-doubt. They are embarrassed to meet and communicate, feel uncomfortable in the company of slender people, are vulnerable and sensitive to barbs. She was full from childhood and at first she was very complex about this. But the years passed, attempts to lose weight failed, and the weight remained the same - plus or minus a few kilograms. Over time, Erica just got used to the fact that she was fat, learning to live with it. She said to herself, "Ok, I'm a big girl," and calmed down.
This lasted until the moment she passed over 30. At 32, Erika absolutely got used to her extra pounds, was married and felt happy. But one of the visits to the doctor made the girl think about losing weight. Firstly, the weight reached the mark of 143 kilograms, and secondly, Erica herself realized that, although she was living a happy, but not at all healthy life. She felt tired and emaciated, she began to suffer from pains in her legs and back.
The main problem on the way to losing weight was a huge food addiction that had followed her since childhood. Food was a real addiction that could not be denied. For best results, Erica joined the popular American weight management program Weight Watchers. She needed to put together a diet that she could stick to, but not starve, to avoid breakdowns.
Erica's menu included foods that were familiar to her, but the calorie content of the diet was limited to create a natural deficit.
Sample menu for the day:
· Breakfast: apple, banana, boiled egg, bagel, half a teaspoon of peanut butter, chicken sausage
· Lunch / lunch: stews, chicken, brown rice
· Snack: apple, energy bar
· Dinner: salmon with potatoes in the airfryer with steamed vegetables;
· Dessert: Low calorie brownie brownie with vanilla ice cream, sugar free caramel and strawberries.
As you can see from the diet, there is no starvation or deprivation of desserts here, it's all about reasonably limiting portion sizes.
After three months of such nutrition, Erica lost about 15 kg, evenly dropping 5 kilograms per month. Then she signed up with a personal trainer to speed up the process of losing weight with physical activity. In the gym, they focused on strength exercises, which were supposed to develop Erica's sleeping muscles and make her body stronger. Having learned how to perform a set of exercises, she began to do them only at home: first, three times a week for 30 minutes, then 4 times, and then began to practice 5 times a week.
In total, from January 2018 to January 2020, Erica lost about 70 kg with the help of a selected diet and exercise. Today she continues to train for pleasure, lose weight and tighten excess skin.
The main thing is that she finally feels truly happy, healthy and self-confident.
