In popular programs for dressing up Cinderella as princesses, the same recommendation is constantly heard, which sounds like a threat: a woman needs heels! High thin stilettos or more stable, but still heels.
Fashionable-stylish need (or whim?)
I am reading a fashionable and glamorous interview with a Russian star:
"I will never give up high heels in my life!"
I look at Carrie Bradshaw from the popular TV series:
"Let's go a couple more blocks, I'm on high heels!"
We go on ice with a friend in winter. I walk boldly along the side of the road in running boots, she, barely keeping her balance, minces on a tall, thin, like a rod from a handle, a hairpin. And it’s uncomfortable, and my legs hurt, but “I will not refuse for anything in my life, this is feminine!”.
A friend, whom I have not seen for a long time, comments on my photo in ballet flats on Instagram:
"Oh, but heels would be good for you!"
A freshly formed man, during a leisurely walk, suddenly asks me:
“Don't you wear high heels? So tall, beautiful, graceful! "
I honestly answer that I can hardly balance and prefer soft slippers with dog faces. Is he:
“Oh, and I love it so much when a woman walks in heels! And so that the nails are so long! It's so exciting! "
Woman on a flat ride
I am definitely a woman who can only start an alarm clock on an iPhone. It's easy and simple - just slide your finger in the right direction. Wearing stilettos requires a graceful body, strong calves, sturdy ankles, and a broad-shouldered companion that can pick up on occasion. And "cases of what" with my grace are frequent and unpredictable.
All my life I have been trying to periodically change shoes in the literal sense, changing ballet flats and sneakers for shoes or boots with heels, like a “real woman”. And then, with incredible pleasure, I change into some comfortable slippers that allow me to feel the ground under my feet.
Shoes that break men's hearts (and women's ankles)
Here's what the stylish (and cruel) Evelina Khromtchenko said:
"In a woman's life there should be a place for hairpins, which are difficult to walk on, but on which men's hearts are easily strung.
Here's what designer Marc Jacobs said:
“There are women who are divided into high heels and ballet flats. Not in terms of shoes, but as a type of attitude towards oneself and towards life. "
And then there are women sneakers and women slippers. Cozy, homemade or jogging. By the way, they can also be expensive and stylish.
I am extremely happy that thanks to feminism, the dictates of high heels in everyday life are becoming less. The main thing is to listen to the voice in your head more than to the voices from gloss and TV.
Christian Louboutin, who invented those red-soled shoes, said that high-heeled shoes elevate both physically and emotionally. Thank you Christian, I can do without the louboutins. Better in dazzling pants, as the sonorous Alice Vox taught. They are both cheaper and safer.
