Pavel has done some really serious work to look very good. Of course, money played a role, but you can get your body in shape without billions.
Pavel has done some really serious work to look very good. Of course, money played a role, but you can get your body in shape without billions.

On his 36th birthday, Pavel Durov published 7 rules that, in his opinion, make him feel (and look!) Younger. Let's look at them from a scientific point of view.

1. Don't drink alcohol.

I can subscribe to this rule. There is definitely a life without alcohol. According to Durov, alcohol turns off intuition. Here you can argue that many use alcohol precisely in order to turn off consciousness, turn on the subconscious and expand horizons. I am sure that you can do without potent substances.

2. To sleep a lot.

Agree. The most important thing is to go to bed on time, that is, until 11 pm, in the darkest room, in silence and at a cool temperature. Then the body will live in a normal hormonal balance, fully recover mentally and physically. In addition, all the information received during the day will be carefully processed by the brain, so that your memory will not let you down.

3. Don't overeat.

Agree. But, unlike Paul, I advocate regular meals, not once a day. This is against physiology and biochemistry, long periods of hunger stimulate the activity of enzymes that contribute to the storage of fat stores. Well, our body does not understand that starvation does not threaten it. So we work stably and stress-free only with regular meals, where the intervals are from 3 to 5 hours, except at night.

And let me remind you that the majority of centenarians are small animals.

4. Do the exercises.

I am for daily physical activity, and it can be varied, without excessive intensity or volume of stress. The best physical activities are walking, swimming, and stretching.

5. Limit stress.

I subscribe. The key is to identify your main stressors and try to reduce their impact. Communicating with nature, contemplation, meditation, creativity, listening to music, visual arts, socializing with pleasant people, and again physical activity can help reduce stress.

6. Don't eat meat.

I do not agree with this. The fact that pets are often fed not very good food and stuffed with substances that contribute to their rapid growth is, unfortunately, a reality. But today there are small farms that produce useful and completely harmless products. Meat, especially red meat, is important, rejection of it entails a number of unpleasant consequences.

7. Live alone.

If you are unlucky enough to meet “your” person, this does not mean that loneliness is basically a way to live longer and look better. There are many worthy examples when people live in symbiosis and help, not hinder each other. Meryl Streep and Don Gummer, Sting and Trudie Styler, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, David and Victoria Beckham.

So let's hope that Pavel Durov will change his mind about this point. At least I sincerely wish him this on his birthday.
