Atmaja is a brave and fearless warrior who is an assistant to the representatives of the Ottoman dynasty fighting for power and the personal bodyguard of Shahzade Mustafa.
It would seem that a brave warrior has a heart of stone, but each new episode reveals the true face of this character.
Companions of Mustafa, having learned that Shahzade had made a secret nickname with Mikhrinisa, understood that this act could end sadly for the heir and Atmaja received an order to kill Barbarossa's daughter.
Atmaja did not dare to disobey the order, and deceiving Mikhrinisa into the forest thicket, he put a dagger to her throat.
The girl was brave and courageous and proudly said that she was ready to accept death, but the warrior should know that under her heart a new life was born - the continuation of the dynasty.
Having learned about this, Atmaja could not obey the order and released Mihrinisa.
Why Atmaja dared to disobey the order. I think he had three reasons for this:
1. Atmaja was secretly in love with Barbarossa's daughter.
2. No one dared to shed the blood of the members of the Ottoman dynasty (whose child Mikhrinisa carried under her heart).
3. In the past, Atmaja was unable to protect his family. His wife and son were killed by enemies.
In the series, Atmaja evokes positive emotions, however, he is another invention of the directors to add more bright and exciting moments to the film.
