Osteochondrosis is a very painful disease in which the intervertebral discs lose their ability to function normally.
As a rule, the cause of osteochondrosis is considered to be a combination of factors affecting the spine throughout a person's life. Most often this is a sedentary and inactive image.
At the initial stage of development, osteochondrosis does not manifest itself in any way, but the more advanced the disease is, the more the cervical spine suffers.
To understand how healthy the cervical spine is, you can conduct a small flexibility test at home.
1. Stand straight with your head down so that your chin touches your chest.
2. Back straight, tilt your head back.
3. Keeping the body of your back straight, gently tilt your head to one side, then to the other.
4. Lean your face against the wall and make a small mark at the level of your nose. Then stand sideways to the mark and slowly turn your head towards the mark. With good performance, the mark on the wall should match the nose.
Test result:
Good flexibility of the vertebrae - it was not difficult to complete the entire set of exercises.
Poor flexibility of the vertebrae - difficulties arose in performing some exercises.
Need help from a specialist - in most of the exercises, pain was felt and it was not possible to complete them.
