Atmaja was not just Mustafa's bodyguard, but also a devoted, loyal friend and companion.
On the last day of his life, Mustafa took the word from Atmaji that if something happens to him, the warrior must swear allegiance to his brother Bayazid.
Despite all his efforts, Atmaja failed to save Mustafa from the wrath of the sovereign, and he vows to take revenge on Rustem - Pasha for the ruined innocent soul of Shehzade.
Atmaja pursues Rustem, literally steps on his “tail”, but every time he manages to avoid the warrior's revenge. Then Atmaja, in front of the Pasha, kills his brother Sinan and swears that the same fate awaits Rustem himself.
However, later Atmaja is forced to forget about his oath and the reason for this is Bayezid's order.
Atmaja swore allegiance to Bayazid and vowed that he would protect the shehzade even at the cost of his life.
Then Bayezid gave the first order to the warrior:
- Henceforth, do not touch Rustem - pasha, otherwise their paths will diverge.
Atmaja thought a little and decided that Mustafa's last will is more important than revenge for his execution.
After Atmaja voiced his decision to Bayazid, Shehzade said:
- You made the right decision, Rustem - I need the Pasha now. But after I ascend the throne, I promise you, he will pay for all his atrocities.
Bayazid decided to keep two people who hate each other near him - and this was his main mistake.
If Atmaja was waiting in the wings, then Rustem could not be next to the killer of his brother and he takes the side of Shehzade Selim, and Bayazid cruelly substitutes before the sovereign.
